Addendum 2 - correction14 Sep 2025 15:30
Sorry my mistake stats swapped other way round -
*** underactive thyroid is way more prevalent then Graves’ disease. You will probably see 10 patients with underactive thyroid for every one 1 patient who will have Graves
To correct you here medically, Tim did not say he has Graves’ disease which causes HYPERTHYROIDISM (overactive thyroid gland)
He said he suffers from hashimoto's thyroiditis which causes HYPOTHYROIDISM (under active thyroid gland)
Graves’ disease is only served by 2 current medications as I know it. Hashmitos normally has levothyroxine as its main treatment
Numbers of patients approx with both disease (UK specific):
Overactive : Less then 0.5%
Underactive: 2% of the whole population
Both subtypes are currently served by only 3 drugs, so whatever you asked your retired biomedical friend was irrelevant to what Tim has stated. There is nothing to stop supplementing existing medical therapy with p140
to restore normal immune homeostasis and even induce remission in some and create a state of normactive thyroid.
Please refrain from posting statements which are not factual, incorrect or misleading as it is unethical on some investors here who may not be scientifically minded.
