Mining cycles.......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDFAKWTVe8k
Sam Garrett, Chief Executive Officer of Great Southern Copper, said: "These results have exceeded our expectations and, more importantly, confirm the target models that we have developed from our surface exploration work to date. Intersecting a 10-15m wide mineralised vein at shallow depths supporting grades over 2g/t Au and 1% Cu beneath a target outcrop 2m wide and assaying 0.6g/t Au is very encouraging.
"The Teresita scout RC results are very promising given the potential scale of the system mapped at surface, which to date demonstrates a cumulative strike length of over 5km.
"Given that the same style of IRGS mineralisation has been discovered at the Victoria prospect, these results are particularly exciting as they indicate that GSC's Especularita project hosts at least two of these large-scale, high-grade IRGS systems."
That was a pleasant read - and a surprise.
I have been in small exploration miners where news like this - moved the needle considerably up.
It is so quiet on here and (IMHO) GSCU are so “under the radar” i can’t help wondering if anyone will notice.
Fingers crossed though

highlights:
· purchase option agreements extend gsc's existing claims and enable the company to earn 100% of the cerro negro and artemisa properties, subject to completion of annual option payments over 4-5 years
· cerro negro includes the high-grade mostaza cu-ag deposit previously mined by anto***asta minerals
· artemisa includes alteration and historical artisanal copper workings adjacent to existing gsc targets at victoria and lipa
· cerro negro and artemisa further consolidate gsc's control of the extensive colorada lithocap and provide additional evidence of potential for porphyry copper+gold mineralisation at depth below the advanced argillic alteration blanket
· artemisa agreement also includes the viuda, brecha amarilla, paclas and los rulos prospects that include additional porphyry copper+gold and skarn targets
· cerro negro and artemisa further enhance gsc's drilling pipeline which includes the teresita-abundante scout rc programme that is now completed with assays pending
· sampling, geophysics and metallurgy surveys are being planned to fast-track these new prospects for drilling
AND this month portfolio.
Nice steady riser over the past month.
Ok thanks Troajan.Might as well get in now.The potential is certainly there
Islandgirl
depending how far those cores have to be transported too
2 to 4 weeks,at a guess
How long before assays?
Blue
Going to be a massive story here and we’re at the bottom at these levels. Tiny market cap and todays results show that we are set for imo massive copper gold mineralisation
As I saw on x that Sam Garrett is the main guy behind Havieron and so he knows his geology and he’s very bullish on chile and given we are next to bhp and chile in general is the worlds copper hub we are in for soemthing massive here
Can’t wait for assays and this is just the start of something big and I mean £ not pennies SP
A very worthwhile increase in Lithium potential which could well be beneficial but has been received with a .tempered response, in fact none as yet , than would, I suspect, have been the case with Copper or Gold news which might have been treated more warmly. That's my feeling but others may well disagree
Monti Lithium Project Grows by 40% with New Concession Filing
GSC expands its footprint to 33,100 ha in the prolific Salar de Atacama district, Chile
Great Southern Copper plc (LSE: GSCU), the company focused on copper-gold and lithium exploration in Chile, is pleased to announce that it has consolidated its concession area in the Salar de Atacama district of Chile, which hosts the world's largest reserves of lithium.
Highlights:
· New exploration concession filings increase Monti Lithium Project to 33,100 ha
· Salar de Atacama is Chile's largest Lithium brine producing district
· Located in the prolific "Lithium Triangle" of Chile-Argentina-Bolivia
· Excellent infrastructure in place
· GSC's concessions located near to Chile's largest lithium producers
· Chile is the world's second largest producer of lithium
I'm not sure the market understood or cared about that last announcement at all.
Our site has several types of mineralisation.
The Skarn type which was just reported on is at surface and has 6% copper, it ranges between .5 and 20m thickness and extends over 2000m it also has gold in it too.
Sam and the team are defining a large high grade mineralised system with grades up to 7% copper. Most copper mines are more like .5% copper and this mineralisation isn't deep either.
The share price actually went down slightly on the news. Market says Meh!
Perhaps there is a parallel dimension where this all makes sense.
Comprehensive aerial survey that shows great promise . Think these guys mean business and will want to get drilling asap..
Hopefully it's a winner. GLA
Plenty to like in that.
Love the suggestion that we will start drilling - soon.
Just hope that GSCU definition of “soon” is not the same as SOLG
Hopefully onwards and upwards
