Hi. CB. The dearth of information regarding most tenders for smart meters in India from last year is amazing. There were a few that were bang on what CC provide....I can't remember which but remember a bit of excitement here at the time.

These guys are not convinced on the 3 years indian smart meter target. You will have to sign up to access the full report for free. I understand that india at present are only able to manufacture around 50 million meters per year...so that's an interesting problem to solve, before they even begin attempting to meet the ridiculous targets recently announced.

CC apparantly have many fingers in many pies..and the amount of tenders for smart meters in india seem to be growing ( although frustratingly never get to find out the actual results)....so never sure how many make it to a successfull conclusion...I can only conclude that there is nothing to announce ......even if confidential CC could put out a very basic RNS declaring a win in India worth around $$$$.....only six weeks to end of March.

I wonder if CC can jump on the back of a partner for this one , in Brazil.....a place once mooted as a land of opportunity.

If you think that this recent Saudi initiative to install 10 million smart meters in just over a year is ambitious ...it's nothing compared to Modi ambition of 250 - 300 million meters in three years.
This Saudi smart meter initiative was expected to start January 2020 with the aim of the 10 millionth meter being completed in March 2021.
That's the sort of contract win, and execution that CC need ..would have solved a few problems.

I'm waiting for the wave of mone which would normally follow when a Company is integral to , or has the solution for a nations energy problems. If the EESL connection holds any credence ...shouldn't the share price be on the up......I'm so conditioned now , so expect to be behind the curve, that it's turned into an advantage..if there is any good news due, then I would be expect to be behind the curve, and buying this share at a higher price , the fact that I've had so many opportunity to buy at an increasing lower price for past ten years...and particularly last few month,( since October 2019) surely demonstrates that no one, even those in the know, expect the share price to increase anytime soon...otherwise how do you explain the slow, but sure decline of value here....any explanations on why those in the know are not buying at this stage would be welcone...thanks in advance VAS

A bounce is a bounce ....don't knock it.....it's the best the sp has done without a RNS for ages....it's a about time for CC to surprise us, and take the company to a place where investors can feel the potential, as opposed read about it.

Whatever RF smart meters they have been deploying of late, they state that they want to upgrade them and it's not clear in this article if the large incidences of power theft that has been experienced using Rf communication is related to inferior communication n general, or because the meters deployed at present are not fully smart .

I'm still keeping a close eye on developments here and sometimes I find contradictory information. This I found last month, and it's published by a reliable and respected journal in India - Electrical India.
I recommend you read it. Please let me know what you make of it ...in light of the supposed failure of EESL and their bulk Cellular tenders last year.

Morning Tony. If you were new here and had read up on CC possible prospects and also their present day finances. Would you take the plunge now knowing that the company needs cash or wait for either another dilution, or hope for the possabillity of alternative funding ....which do you think is more likely at this point of time, knowing what we already know.

Cyan have always had some very good news story's, with a promise of excellent revenues, always in the future. This has not changed, and we can all see the potential possibility's, if this happens , or if that happen's...but as ITT just stated....the future is just that, and when you look at CC's present day income / revenue ...its quite a worry for some and they really do have to demonstrate NOW that they can land a contract that will put them on a clear path towards break even.... otherwise, everyone knows what to expect in the coming weeks, it will be a repeat of what has happened in the past ten years.........don't get me wrong, i would be as pleased as any here...if they produced the goods, so to speak.

Historically, what should happen sometime soon, is this.... CC announce a contract win, that will lift the share price until a cash call, where the share price will fall back again..... and then after we can continue identifying future prospects.

Information via Twitter is free. RNS is not. I'm still waiting to see where theall important revenue is comming from.....can't carry on with radio silence forever.
