did anyone hear the consultant bform a north london hospital talking to kay? On Sky news this morning. he said he was excited about the trial in Liverpool of testing everyone on a regular basis.......but clearly stated that these tests will have to completed by someone else, labour intensive or something like that ....he then said what would excite him much more is the idea that home tests could be introduced, so that everyone tests themselves daily !!

"How might antibody testing be used?
Covid-19 antibody testing has been the focus of much research and press coverage. Four possible reasons are proposed for SARS-CoV-2 antibody testing:

For diagnosis of individuals with current symptoms suggestive of covid-19, when antigen testing has failed to detect SARS-CoV-2, especially in those who present two weeks or more after symptom onset (when antibody testing becomes more reliable).

For individuals who are currently asymptomatic, to assess if they have had a previous SARS-CoV-2 infection. This may include people at high risk of severe disease or those with occupational risk of infection (eg, healthcare workers) to provide reassurance, or to inform personal decisions about returning to work.

To monitor the quality and longevity of the immune response in patients with previously confirmed covid-19 disease or potentially to monitor response to vaccination. If treatment with convalescent plasma is found effective in treating covid-19, antibody tests will also have a role in identifying suitable donors.

One of the positives investing here as opposed in many other stocks .....is at least
a) we are open for business and will trade throughout the winter
b) our customers including the UK government will pay up
c) we are not just following a trend but part of the solution
d) if all goes to plan we can literally see and hear on the news about the fantastical opportunity here and the billions of pounds waiting to be spent in the UK alone.
E) ODX is not a one trick pony there's plenty of room for non Coved news to also play a part in our growth.

So I think on over the next few days and weeks during any volatility.....where else better to invest at this time? It should come good...but will take more time.

I cant believe that the BOD of each company likely to get bushiness from the Boris Moonshot = step 1 , deal have not already been informed - so that they can prepare , make plans, secure supply lines to meet future expected demand, staff, etc etc ...there is no point in just informing a company of a contract and expect them to meet demand the following week.

So imo if the BODs of company's involved are already aware an planning , its a case of watch closely what they are actually doing rather than what others are saying .....we are so close now, the actions and behaviors of a company's that should tell the real story......

When you think about it a national lockdown when say 70 of the population are isolated, therefore taken out of circulation would be the BEST time to introduce the first phase, limited testing of the remaining 30 % of population with the 1 -2 month aim of building up capacity for he rest of population after lockdown, and then introduce the covid passport - where you can only leave the house if you tested negative that morning - and if negative access all community and work events.

I think the need for this Lockdown has taken the government by surprise, and its going to cost 10 billion pounds per week ( taken form Andrew Marr show). There will hopefully now be a scramble to get all the permissions and authorisations, which were due over following weeks and months completed asap, to allow home testing / work testing to be a reality.

I would have thought that the best time to bring out the a rapid, home test was during a four to possibly 6 week lockdown.

Most peeps will remain in the home. Others will need to go out and its they whom will need to be regularly tested. If tested positive the entire family isolate. If negative they continue going out until R number below one. Then regular increase testing for all whom leave the house, as lockdown eases. This will mean that schools, front line staff , patients, emergency services , etc etc are tested regularly from the end of next week.

Bushmaster. From what i have read Joe Biden has never made any secret of his belief that he thought Brexit was barking. Biden has not changed his mind. If he enters the White House next January it is most unlikely Boris will be the first to be invited to White house as was May , with Trump, much more likely Angela Merkel.- So no, not in my opinion but if it suits the Us , then yes.

It looks like there will be enough business for everyone, and if a product is superior in time to result, then they will be the go to product.

Rapid diagnostic tests are integral to the government’s Moonshot plan to carry out up to 10 million covid-19 tests a day by early next year...... kicking off with the £100bn Operation Moonshot programme

involves an expansion of testing from the current hundreds of thousands of tests each day to 10 million a day by early 2021. But how does the government propose to do this?

How will testing increase between now and early 2021?
The documents show a proposed three stage rollout. They state that the UK will carry out between 200?000 to 800?000 tests a day between September and December 2020. This might break down to:

200?000 tests a day on people with symptoms,
100?000 a day on people without symptoms in local areas to suppress outbreaks,
250?000 a day on people without symptoms in the NHS and care homes, and
100?000 a day through national prevalence studies.
From December the plans propose increasing daily capacity to between two and four million. This would involve mass testing of all homes in local areas or whole cities when prevalence rises (430?000 tests a day), testing high contact professions such as teachers every week (100?000 a day), and testing people to allow them to enter high risk settings, such as visitors to hospital and care homes.

The plan then states that there would be “full rollout” in early 2021 to 10 million tests a day, to “enable people to return to and maintain normal life.” At this stage, weekly testing would be made available progressively to the whole population to allow people to go to high risk events by using a “digital passport” to show they have tested negative for the virus.

The US are in the same position regarding finding a home Antigen test that works as the UK.
