Zeitgeist meaning "spirit of the age". It refers to an invisible agent or force dominating the characteristics of a given epoch in world history.

Were living through an era that will one day be looked at as a catalyst for many changes in human Behaviour, science and how we deal with, and monitor potential virus's. This tears events will not be forgotten once over, but will be sued as an example for century's on the importance of screening our environment and populations.

Think back to 9/11 and how horrific those events were and how that changed overnight the absolute massive amounts of
finance that went into homeland security in most country's spending trillions on anti- terrorist activity. it changed how the world responded to terrorism and freedom of travel for all.

However, horrific those events were in the US they were local and relatively miniscule to the effects of this global pandemic in lives lost, and economic impact and duration. This virus will also set off a catalyst of new ways of working, assessing and identifying virus transmission early.
The world will forever be on alert for the next possible virus that could kill so many and shut down the world economy. If your going to invest in a company at this time then choosing a company that is part of the solution seems to me a very good bet, whether that's vaccines or testing, choosing one that is backed by the government is also a posative !!.....the research presently going into testing will spawn a whole new economy of home testing kits, not just for virus's but for other medical ailments.... " breath and blood tests " that give instant results, uploaded tpo GP or monitoring centre is the way forward ....and guess who will be manufacturing these, and in they will one day be used in their 10s millions each day..

This article mentions 20,000 meters to start with, and then onwards to two Lakh.

I think what is happening is the markets are spooked - increasing threat of a national lockdown. the local lockdowns are not stopping the daily increase in infections and deaths.....

When i read this i thought why couldn't KMK develop a hand held COVID breath detector....there doing a city wide air detector etc etc
I looked up TOXI-Triage project and Loughborough University and came across this previous piece of research by Loughborough university, TOXI-Triage and using KMK detectors. Nothing related to covid, from what i see but the relationships is there... with successful outcomes.

The recent spate of new product launches indicates to me that they have serious customers pending - otherwise why go to all the trouble, time and expense of conducting the R&D over the past 12-18 months.....KMK have a lot going on, and hopefully do not have the time to launch product solutions that do not have customers attached.....just an observation, with a dash of hope.
With their biopathegen detection solutions well advanced in R&D maybe KMKs future and Sp will play out differently this time. That old Chinese adage " wheres theirs crisis there is opportunity " may turn out to be true for KMK, its certainly been true for a number of other company's on AIM.

I've been watching and invested in KMK three times in past 5 years.....each time my intention was to benefit from the positive news flow. I also invested around what turned out to be the year lows low (20s each time,) and sold in around the low 30s, approx. The share price in those days seemed to trade between these prices, and i was lucky.

Today, this is my fourth trade in KNK and im very happy to have got in around 11p because i a) as far as i can see we are just above the low for the year b) The technology is still world class and orders are now coming back on stream c) there are even more and greater possibility's to come good here, than previously.
Whether this company realises its full potential or not, i do not know - but i do know that if your going to commit and invest for the year/s ahead then this is the price that will give you double chance of getting out with a profit. imo.

A team of scientists in India has developed an inexpensive paper-based test for coronavirus that could give fast results similar to a pregnancy test. The test, named after a famous Indian fictional detective, is based on a gene-editing technology called Crispr. Scientists estimate that the kit - called Feluda - would return results in under an hour and cost 500 rupees (about $6.75; £5.25).

Feluda will be made by a leading Indian conglomerate, Tata, and could be the world's first paper-based Covid-19 test available in the market.
This is where the Feluda test might end up making a huge difference to the way we look at gene-editing based diagnostic tests.

Dr Debojyoti Chakraborty, a molecular scientist with CSIR-IGBMR and a lead member of the team that developed Feluda, told the BBC that they were working on a prototype of a test where "you can extract and amplify the RNA at home".

"We are trying for a simple, affordable, and truly point-of-care test so widespread testing is not limited by machines and manpower," Dr Chakraborty said.

This is old, although ot dated but it is nice to read what we all are thinking and hoping could happen if the portable radiation detector became widely adopted.

This is good news , demonstrates real income going to be generated, and will be very interesting this morning as every share i have held that has had an RNS this week has not behaved in the manner as one would expect, mainly as a lot of the news already factored into the sp or manipulation ( take your pick). Lets hope BRH is the exception.

Regarding the very large china order that is in a state of limbo at the moment. Anyone think that it's related to the US / China trade situation. The US are apparently not trading with the US in certain industry's ....and do not look kindly at company's that are dealing in US who also trade China...I'm thinking DARPA and Homeland Security contracts that KMK have. Just a thought.

I think maybe the realisation that any covid human challenge trials that actually do get the green light will have an element of risk to them, so its not a given that these trials will go ahead...in past from what i have read infecting healthy patients with a virus whether flu or something else had gone ahead because they had an proven treatment / drug if someone beamne seriously unwell. Theres is a lot of talk of these trials - but will need clearance to go ahead and take on the risk - therefore, not a given at this point in time - even though the upfront payments will be kept by OO,i think.

if you look at the actual results from some of the leading vaccines that are expected to come to market in next six months, their results are not fantastic, limited at best, and then only a positive result in some patients . . Yes, some do decrease complications in patients, but mostly only in certain sub sector types of patients based on age, level of virus load, related to stage of virus etc etc ...therefore, imagine say six vaccines come on market but none are effective as a general virus for population - that's where these trials that only ORPH can arrange come into play as we need to find out which test work, with which sub groups and how long the each vaccine last for, and point that patient can get re infected etc etc ...as the vaccines come to market, then the more research on each vaccine will need to be done over time to find this information out - either wait in real time = months and years to see what happens or accelerate the process using ..infected volunteers as in ORPH solution. Can only get more busy over next 1-2 years for COVID alone, let alone all the other non covid trials .
