What we need is someone to champion Mologic ! It doesn't get the credit it deserves in the press or analysis ...sometimes doesn't get mentioned at all. Its firmly under the eyes of the bureaucrats who and scientists who's job is to evaluate these devices....be good if someone speaks up.

The term of the framework will be for an initial 2 years with options to extend by up to a further 2 years.
The individual framework lots will be:
Lot 1 - Diagnostic Goods and Services
Lot 2 - Research and Development Goods and Services
Lot 3 - Manufacturing, Product Development and Commercialisation
Lot 4 - Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Testing Services.

Supports the business model of ODX, home testing

I read that the conclusion being made here is that to test the entire country, or even several city's then a different solution will be required to what is happening in Liverpool, i.e military swabbing people. I can only see it being self tests that are conducted at home home. The army is not large enough to multi test each city and town. Compliance is another issue, but if you take their statistic they present that at present only 1 in 5 people infected actually quarantine, ( for what ever reason , many do not even know they are infected). ...then it should not be so hard to improve on this ...as long as everyone who is infected , gets to know about it, and has the opportunity to self isolate.

Well i have been looking for any evidence that could confirm that Avacta has began their trials, or received any validation re: their antigen test and i have found nothing....although lots of comments from the firm regarding imminent trials in nearly every news release or update.

In parallel with these clinical validation studies, which will be run within the UK government’s CONDOR programme and potentially with other collaborators globally, BBI will work with Avacta and Cytiva to produce the additional technical documentation that is required for CE marking of the final product.

You are obviously up on events here, where as i am relatively new to this share and trying to understand the situation and relationships here.
In this Turner Pope note ( published October 20) it states (Avacta ) "the Chairman and CEO both described the
milestones that the Group shortly expects to pass, including clinical validation of
a rapid, saliva-based coronavirus antigen lateral flow test."

also this quote i liked a lot....

Drug developer Avacta said it has several "momentous milestones" ahead with the launch of a rapid, saliva based coronavirus test that could help solve the UK's testing crisis.
However, it is increasingly clear that there is a need for mass screening tests to isolate and remove infectious people, with Avacta’s test at the forefront."

Avacta plans to focus on the UK first and foremost in a bid to supply a cheap, simple, highly accurate test that can say whether people are infected with Covid-19. Some tests currently being used can provide false positives, leading people to self isolate when they are not actually infectious. It will then turn its attention to the US market.
The firm is working with two UK manufacturers to make the test, BBI Solutions and Abingdon Health, and is in talks with a third UK manufacturer, Omega Diagnostics.

Dr Alastair Smith, chief executive of Avacta Group, said there is also overseas manufacturing capacity.

ODX have said that they will increase production to 1.2 million units per month by end of November, increasing to 2 mullion units by end of December ( just 7 weeks from now). Then increasing even further through Jan, February and March.....
At some point during the next few weeks , there will be news regarding where these units will be heading....I don't think they ramping up production just so they can employ more people throughout the lockdown ...

"The Company remains on target to reach a production capacity of 300,000 lateral flow tests per week by the end of November, increasing to 0.5 million tests per week by the end of December,.......Due to the potential significant interest in an antigen rapid test, we are currently investigating further capacity expansion of the Alva site."
These comments form RNS just last Wednesday....followed by aggressive recruitment at he Alva site.....don't listen to the noise - just watch what the company are saying, and more importantly doing...

FinCap attempt to value Omega back in August at a SP of 73p
"Omega’s Chinese distributor believes it could be selling one million food intolerance tests by 2023.

The company’s broker, finnCap, meanwhile, has drilled down to look also at the potential of all three revenues streams – food intolerance, COVID and HIV – and tried to value each.

For food intolerance, finnCap believes revenues could be in the region of £6-£12mln, generating a gross profit of £4-£8mln. Based on a 10-times enterprise multiple, it reckons the opportunity could ultimately be worth £40-£80mln, or £30-£60mln today.

The two new COVID revenue streams (Mologic and UK Rapid Test Consortium) might add as much as £37mln to the top line, which finnCap values at £75-£110mln. Finally, it said the VISITECT CD4 test opportunity is “worth £45-£75mln today”.

The above provides a sum of the parts valuation well in excess of the current Omega Diagnostics market capitalisation of £107mln, finnCap pointed out.

“Whilst it is not clear how long the global demand for COVID-19 antibody and antigen tests will last, we believe that it will continue for the next 12-24 months at least, and the capacity that Omega intends to build into its Alva facility [in Scotland] will be replaced in part by new lateral flow devices that it will develop and that can be marketed alongside VISITECT CD4,” the broker concludes.

In the next 5 months we could be producing 2 million plus units per week.....it's not a short term trade.

I have noticed a number of shares recently that have had good news RNSs, only to move up within the spread and even drop. I'm not just talking ODX here, there is a pattern. Saying that I do not doubt that shenanigans go on behind the scenes on Aim, to let some out, and others in, to hold a share price back and these events are disturbing to investors , yet they cant go on for very long. If the company invested in is any good, and start delivering results, then it will come good, i do believe this will need to equate to some meaty orders ....the share price will rise accordingly..... i'm no clairvoyant but this share, at this time, in this space looks to me as better than many others.....if this share is any good, and you and I have done our best to find the opportunity then its only a matter of time, and it will come good. I've been on AIM here for over 11 years...and form experience i also know there are no certainty's. GL

Only last April, just a few months ago this company was valued at just over 7p.....so anyone who chooses to pick this share up on its performance to date, are not worth listening too, as they are either deluded or playing a different game.....

if you can, sit tight, buy only what your comfortable with, and wait, let the story unfold in its own time until next April, then make sure you throw their words back at them - just a reminder that you cant make a successful company in just a few months....there is everything to play for here, and those continuously wasting their lives posting negatives on a share that they pretend not to rate as an investment, know this.

That was a shame. modi does like a " made in India" product.
