Surely the test this article describes as needing to be invented and developed is the soon to be available Avacta test. I'm surprised it doesn't directly refer to it perhaps someone can provide some input here as to how they will become connected.

Maybe we should all place a limit order to sell our shares at a substantially higher price.....if it results in these gains I'd take it and eventually sell out at a suitable price happy

Did anyone come to any conclusions as to why the share price increased 50% with no prior news and not much else after. I'm expecting good news on court cases and continued good progress on murata equipment relocation. The Covid19 impact on orders is less clear though but hopefully not too severe with restrictions being eased in key locations.

Hi RK.....I did post to you previously but not sure if you picked it up. I have invested here after getting out of Lloyd's at a loss having become disillusioned following the dividend cut. Found some of the posts here very informative and the continued flow of information is such that I see this as now being a long term hold for me. Have been interested to read some of your comments on energy storage and cancer treatment. I have invested in CPX and AVO that operate in those sectors and wondered whether you have looked into them and came to any conclusions good or bad.......they have both had rocky roads but could be on the verge of significant breakthroughs. Don't want to confuse this board so if relevant maybe post on those boards if not good luck here and thanks for the informative posts.

Thanks ERV I did note and welcome your comment over on the lloy board and smiled at some others. Having followed the herd I've had more time to look into this company and although some others have gained more I do like what I've read here.

Olderandwiser......I have thought about that also but when you are under pressure to deliver solutions the worst thing you can do is announce something before it is in your hands.....it will go tits up. They're experienced and know how careful you need to be answering questions but behind the scenes they will be well aware of developments.

Just read that article myself and thought the same. Take your point Yodaforce and I'm speculating as per the article that testing is going to be significant and that Avcta will succeed in supporting this requirement for mass testing. As a result their revenues through royalty payments will increase substantially. Many other companies will also benefit and no one knows exactly how it will share out.

RK.....I invested here recently after deciding to sell Lloyd's glad I did and much of the good posts including yours helped me make my decision. I did hesitate for a few days which was quite costly but hey ho. Just thought I'd ask having read some of your comments regarding cancer treatment have you looked at AVO's efforts in that area. Hope there is some news behind this rise. I wasn't expecting anything significant until the end of June and with all that is going on that was being hopeful. Fingers crossed maybe something out of the blue has landed.

You're right KK many are down on their investments and more than 30%. You're also right about prizmacap as this is clearly where CPX see their future potential looking at the new website. Much of the old news/opportunities disappeared and forgotten now so hopefully this market segment will finally start to grow to it's full potential which from all the marketing information out there is massive!

Yep I'm waiting to the very end haven't bought recently but have done lots of times in the past and have far too many at a much higher price as have many others but I do feel the level of commitment here is such that they will succeed soon.

I know well about AIM buyouts for peanuts......the share price hits rock bottom then a buyout is announced at twice this rock bottom price and is presented as a good deal....not for LTH's though. However for this to happen the prospects have to be really bleak with little chance of raising finance in the markets none of which is the case with CPX having just raised funds for what could be a significant opportunity. I'd be very surprised if a takeover were to happen at this stage of the project with the murata deal.

Well for me if CPX got to 25p I'd be really happy, at 50p I'd be over the moon at £1 I'd be being greedy and deserve to get burnt....as would have been the case with asos hitting £70 and dropping to close to £10 at one point.

People.....I wouldn't try it like you I luckily got into BOO right at the bottom at 25p and just before it took off so in a very short timeframe was well up so thought don't be greedy and sold only to see them go up 10x and pretty well much stay there. Can't believe I sold really having watched asos go from £1 to £70 always waiting for a lower entry point. You'll never catch the very bottom and top and working out what you would have after the event is not reality. If you believe in the investment case like asos and BOO better to buy loads and be a long term holder.

Looks like their products succeeded where cpx's failed in automotive powertrain applications. Let's hope some of the IP infringement cases come good and all the opportunities for prizmacap come to fruition which is also a huge market where CPX are world leaders.

Whose capacitor is it if not CPX it won't help much.....need news of deals in the pipeline finally coming good.

ERV1 thanks I agree. Some of my more thought through investments are doing well and holding up ok through this period such as azn, gsk and uvlr but others not so, like bt and Lloyd's so decided not to sit around here waiting without dividends and try something a bit more radical hence the avct gamble. It's certainly more exciting just might lose more money!

I wonder if picking fruit is easier than picking shares!
