Well done with AFC Open, wish I had invested in some of tbose companies as they have had some incredible valuations. You never know CPX may have its day and if it takes off anything like others in this sector there will be some very happy LTH's here.

Like you I've been holding here a long time and genuinely feel that this time with the IoT market looking like it's finally about to come of age with CPX's move into manufacturing timed perfectly we will get to a sensible valuation towards the end of this year.

There have been some very informative posts here regarding developments in the Energy Sector. It's worth noting that the SP of some of the highlighted companies such as ITM, AFC, Ceres and IKA seem to have followed a similar pattern to CPX in that from a peak late Dec/early Jan they then went on downwards trend.

Perhaps CPX have just been caught up in a sector sell-off. Positive news will no doubt buck the trend but also the SP could rise with the market for what appears no apparent reason.

As I've said before expecting good news by year end if it's coupled with a Sector rise the SP could see significant gains. Maybe some of the SP predictions here will come to fruition, now that would be a welcome xmas bonus.

For accuracy AK exercised 6m shares at 5p so cost 300k and sold 4.7m for 5.5p. Maybe was covering majority of costs whilst keeping hold of 1m+ options. I bet he wishes he had the foresight and freedom to sell shares like the Newlands!

Monkeywizard you're probably right about the Newlands, they sold a big chunk of shares 5th Jan near to the last peak of around 14p for the share price to then drop by more the 50%, then take out a long spreadbet 10th Aug a day before Maxwell subpoena AVX. And we still don't know where the Directors 10m shares went. Can't believe AK selling over 4m shares for 0.005p profit for personal cash flow reasons, although 200k to exercise the options is a fair bit of cash to outlay.

Something positive may be in the pipeline and as usual it seems some appear to be in the know. As I'm not privy to this information have chosen to hold through the ups and downs until cpx achieve success with the new production lines and news of the IP cases is concluded. All of this I expext towards end of this year with a share price to reflect a positive outcome anywhere above 15p for starters.

That's a fair comment Mikey you could almost write a book of phrases taken from AS. There are so many which seem so out of context now for example "ink the deals" implies to me everything negotiated and ready to sign. So the criticism displayed here is understable, don't see why people get so offended by some of the valid remarks some of which seem like just venting off steam.

I can only assume sales naivety which seems remarkable but perhaps being a Scientist he hasn't had to forecast as if his life depended on it. By the tone of his recent notes I think he's learning to be more tactful.

Been holding for around 18months now and will continue to hold for the AVA6000 news and a fair few LFT sales which should see a decent shair price and keep everyone happy.

I thought the same IWTO but it is great to hear a working machine is still on track for the end of this year. That RNS is going to be very welcome indeed.

I wonder what effect the 85m warrants at 60p will have as I was expecting a share price well over £1 when that RNS lands but these warrants are available in 6 months and might set a market price unless demand is massive.

If it's an existing investor with a reasonable holding we'll probably find out soon as it could take them above 3% if not already over that limit. Could be the Newlands getting all their shares back cheap under some sort of sneaky prearranged agreement. That's probably a bit far fetched I'm sure there is a perfectly sound explanation.

It might be James but 500k of shares at 0.005p profit is only 2.5k and he wasn't alone in selling all his shares. I don't know what has gone on here and is not something that instills confidence but as I have said I like the recent IoT wins and believe the results of the new production lines will be positive. The apparent Director share sales don't seem to support that view though.

I've just looked back and the Director I referred to was Mr Song Hee Lau who is one of the 3 to have disposed of all their shares. Maybe that's just what he does to raise funds but I still don't see how the sale at 5.5p is worthwhile when the shares were exercised at 5p in December. Perhaps the sale shares were acquired from other options at a lower price.

TD - That article has previously been mentioned and is probably why CPX continue its claim for compensation. You'd think it would be straightforward with XS Power effectively restarting Ioxus as it was before the acquisition. The old Ioxus who were sued no longer exist so no doubt it is complicated in the eyes of the law but plain to see by everyone else. Happens all the time in business, call in the administrators, wipe off debts and then reappear almost identical to carry on as before.

These IP cases would of provided a great boost to the share price but realistically I'm only expecting a rise based on the performance of the new production lines and the brokers forecasts have it about right at the moment. Anything else is a bonus and there is plenty of potential upside that could cause a significant rise so it's definitely a hold for me for a least until the end of this year.

Still don't understand some of the Directors share sales that is something I am missing and slightly concerned about as I recall a similar occurrence years ago from a Sales Mgr for Asia when the share price was much higher as were expectations and things didn't progress too well that time. Hopefully this time will be different!

You may well be right Open, I always thought 20p was achievable but with more and more shares issued and the uncertainty of the Maxwell case possibly going the same way as Ioxus a 10p buy out could be on the cards. I think by the end of this year we'll have a good idea which direction this is heading.

Well the 10m sale shares were not part of the 2.84m raised from the placing shares. It just provided an opportunity to dispose of them at the same time as the placing. Just don't see the point of it for a profit of 0.5p per share.

When you read articles like that Everactive fund raise and the size of the IoT market that CPX appear to soon benefit from you'd think the shares would be worth holding onto for at least the next 6 months as I intent to. Hopefully I won't be disappointed as all the recent news seems to imply we will see the expected growth. I'm sure all will soon become clear.

I agree Open but why would they do it. If options aren't worth anything you can just let them expire but if you believed in them long term you would buy them at the exercise price and hold to sell at some time in the future...very puzzling.

Monkeywizard you raise a good question. Definitely something strange about these transactions. If the exercise price in December was 5p you wouldn't sell for 0.5p profit at this stage. Also 3 of them sell their entire holding. Really not sure why these transactions occurred but on paper it looks like they just handed someone 10m odd shares for no personal gain and that wouldn't happen without a reason which isn't clear at the moment.

That Everactive story is well worth a read Tony. The fact that CPX will be part of their growth is great news but also the companies funding Everactive because of IoT which is going to be massive and CPX have got a real foothold with many other companies operating in this space. It really is very promising.

Vogliar.....they probably started discussions when the price was rising to 14p, found someone who was prepared to invest at 5.5p hence to subsequent decline in share price for no apparent reason. Then a deal is all sewn up within hours of the announcement because all the prep work has already been done. Some people seem to have an uncanny way of timing their sales to coincide with these events or maybe like the Newlands they just got lucky!

Well wasn't expecting this news but probably explains the recent drop and subdued sp. I suspect you may be correct James so hopefully my end of year expectations still come to fruition.

I too am a patient LTH and believe that like me there are many who see the period to the end of this year as pivotal. By then we should know the outcome of the markman hearing and have had sufficient news on sales progress from the new production lines which if are as expected must see a significant increase in the share price. I'm not planning on selling until after this period so if news disappoints it will be too late for me to get out unscathed but whilst I'm not sure on the court case following the recent sale of maxwell all signs on sales progess seem to be heading in the right direction. I'm hopeful one way or another this will get to a level by then where the option is there to exit with a significant profit. Although it might be appropriate to hold for further growth I think many will leave happy with their gains.

I agree and the Markman Hearing scheduled for November seems to be the end point in these disputes. On another point it wouldn't surprise me if CPX were acquired within the next 12 months. Once their new facility is up to capacity it would be an option for the expansion required to meet demand to become part of a larger organisation with the infrastructure already in place. Maybe Murata believed this would eventually happen and therefore couldn't see the benefit of developing this small part of their business when a competitor may acquire the IP they were using.

Absolutely a positive for producers of LFT's of which Avacta have one of the best tests out there. This daily testing requirement will not be isolated to the UK as time passes by so I would expect news of orders by the end of this month. If none materialise your guess is as good as mine as to what is going on!
