Well that's a kick in the knackers!

It looks that way.... that DT article also confirms the link with condor who we know Avacta are working with. Can't be long now for some news if the press are reporting stories as they always get snippets of information ahead of the general public.

The government's condor research program is based out of Oxford and Manchester Universities who Heathrow are working with see below copy from news article about condor:

The program will be led by the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, the University of Manchester and the University of Oxford in collaboration with four NIHR Medtech and IVD Co-operatives as well as the University of Nottingham and the National Measurement Laboratory. It will also collaborate with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence to assess individual tests’ benefits.

“For example, we’re going to look at tests that use different approaches to collecting samples other than the nose and throat swabs, which are uncomfortable,” said Richard Body, professor of emergency medicine at the University of Manchester. “Some tests in development at the moment measure the virus in saliva, which is much easier and more convenient to collect.”

Open......the share price previously reached 18p based on hype and expectation. Much of this hype was instigated by AK which he failed to deliver on. Many here including myself held onto their shares only to see the price tumble and like you feel aggrieved and blame AK.

The hype has returned but this time not from AK or CPX where news has been very conservative. If this latest cycle results in the share price reaching new highs in the 20's I would still hold until the expexted news arrives and I believe you and many others would also. If it went much higher on no news I would now hedge my bets and sell half but I really believe this time any significant rise will be down to leaked news that only the privileged few get first sight of.

That is the dilemma, you make your choice but have the option to realise gains based purely on hype and no sales or wait for the real prize when the news arrives. If like last time it fails to materialise you could in hindsight be accused of greed but this time you couldn't spend years and years blaming AK for false promises as he hasn't made any.

Agreed PP1 I also think they have brought him in to negotiate a settlement, otherwise it would of just been left to the courts to decide where a favourable outcome was expected. I see this as a very positive sign with Maxwell/Tesla finally coming to the table. I'm holding out until the Murata deal has completed and the Maxwell deal is concluded......if these get screwed up then perhaps OS has a point but these are potentially huge pieces of news that could significantly increase the share price.

Credit where credit is due nice to finally see some words from AK maybe this is the turning point with regular news and information as activity begins to increase.

Yes hayashi it's pretty astonishing how AK doesn't engage with PI's especially after the last fund raise allowing PI participation and that comment in his proactive interview about looking forward to providing regular updates. I do think this technology is coming of age and may yet provide me with a decent return but like many here not impressed with AK or the so called heads of sales. This company will end up successful inspite of itself and because of a fortuitous arrangement with murata that is well worth the current valuation. Everything else that they've worked on seems to have fallen by the wayside perhaps that's why they've got nothing to say so thank you murata for handing over your much needed customers and maybe one day we'll get to hear news of a CPX sale as rare as they are!

Just noticed on Avo's website a Chinese flag to click for translation to Chinese. I know there are significant Chinese investors but with western relations being strained and recent news on orders / partnerships coming from Europe / UK & the USA I was wondering whether that regions potential may be at risk but I would hope this website update is provided for the benefit of potential customers Avo are making good progress with. All subject to satisfactory progress at Daresbury of course that we continue to wait for news.

Having read the article a bit more thoroughly it looks like the company commercialising the ultrabattery technology is Ecoult.

It does appear that CPX have no claims on the use of supercapacitors in these batteries and that CPX have been able to develop the prizmacap products through their licensing agreement with csiro.

Really interesting find of new relevant information. It looks like the licensing agreements are with csiro so i would imagine for example any sales of ultrabatteries to Honda by Furukawa although they include supercapacitor technology would not result in any payments to CPX. Not sure if this is correct but i guess it depends on the terms of the licensing agreement CPX have with csiro.

Some really relevant information there TP and coincidentally CPX share price peaked at around 18p a few years ago which today would give a market cap of £78m same as IKA currently. Can't see any reason why CPX with the murata lines can't get there again.

IWTO.....Agree with your comments regarding the convertible loan. I bet some of the existing large institutional investors who for a number of reasons aren't able to participate in these low share value deals must be looking through gritted teeth but see it as a necessity to get to the end goal.

All in all it is positive and when the news arrives regarding a completed working system we should see a flow of orders and increase in share price.

Whilst there have been quite a few disappointments here i think it's reasonable to assume that the successful implementation of the murata deal could easily have a significant impact on the low share price....At least with this Aim company it has genuine products with protected IP and a soon to be installed substantial manufacturing capability. Not pie in sky stuff like you read about on some of these boards so IMHO timing wise this could prove to be a good bet now.

Very much so certainly shows confidence from an investment point of view and anticipated future orders.

Although no specifics on progress it can't be long until this finally comes to fruition.....it's been a long journey but maybe there is Light at the end of the tunnel!

Richken......that's an impressive number of shares do you trade to build up your holding if so that's a risky game but good luck if you've managed to do it successfully.

I prefer to buy in 2 or 3 tranches and if through that process the share price has increased and my knowledge and confidence in the company increases I then decide to hold long term as is the case here.

Yes I'm looking forward to September as well and yes there was an announcement regarding 3 month delay hence September date. Hopefully also by then as the global economy slowly reopens some of the delayed orders will come through so that there is a bumber start to the new operation.

This is a copy of paragraph from that allenby report you posted which confirms that FY20 ends this 30.6.20

Forecast implications: The proposed decommissioning, relocation and recommissioning
is scheduled to be completed during FY20 with CAP-XX’s first shipments from the new line
starting in Q1 FY21. In the run up to decommissioning, Murata is building stock to ensure
supply continuity to existing customers. As a result, we would anticipate royalty payments
from Murata in FY20 but no product sales for CAP-XX from the new lines. The bulk of the
costs associated with the move should fall into FY20 and there will be a small increase in
the ongoing operating cost base thereafter. At the time of trading update in June 2019,
we temporarily suspended FY20 forecasts given the uncertainty around the timing of
projects moving into mass production. We reintroduce FY20 forecasts to show the
implications of the proposed transaction as well as introducing FY21 and FY22 forecasts.

I think that FY20 ends 30.6.20 and FY21 ends 30.6.21 so your figures are a year out
