Well done Blackcat and I hope neale hanvey takes on board your comments and if true peto should be ashamed of himself. To be so blinkered and stubborn considering the circumstances is beyond belief. If true he should resign immediately and be replaced with someone with a can do approach instead of the current beaurocratic rubbish. Let's hope whoever is responsible are found out and made accountable.

Magnet I know in the past medusa have talked about building a significant manufacturing capability of somewhere in the region of 50m per month. At the time it was when only their antibody test was available.
I'd be surprised if they suddenly announce 30m per month meduflow manufacturing capacity when it's taking adbx sometime to achieve about 3m per month. If they do then this really will have a significant effect on the SP. Maybe I've missed something but if true then this is great news to look forwards to.

It looks like it was a half hearted attempt to provide some machinery and kick start the private sector. To compete with the Chinese a full on nationalised company would of needed to be created and that wasn't going to happen. The result has been £billons of chinese orders and what appears to be government meddling in the private sector that has screwed things up. They should of kept at arms length and just provided investment funds and committed to orders not overly complicated contracts that have resulted in disputes. Half a billion of that £3billion would of helped and who would complain of a dual supply strategy involving UK and Chinese companies to meet this current huge surge in demand.

That missed the boat paragraph of mine was taken a bit out of context as I was referring to others comments which I slightly agree with. Looking back to April 2020 when comments of Avacta supplying 100's of millions of lft's it is obvious now that that was never going to happen as manufacturing capacity of that scale would never be achieved. We're looking at about 5m per month UK capacity and regarding off shoring AS has already mentioned scaling up to an additional 30m per month using that method subject to demand. Well, demand is here and regardless of UK government orders and Abdx TT that additional 30m per month would get used up pretty quickly right now. I don't see Avacta having funds to gamble and scale up without securing concrete deals so that 30m may not happen soon and I would imagine the Abdx capacity is accounted for so news of these orders will soon arrive once TT is complete.

It's looking like it won't be too long. The RFQ has been proved for sometime now and that in the earlier days was one of the most challenging pieces of this project relying on the the technical expertise of CERN. With the PPS being almost completed it is only the already proven pieces of technology in between being the SCDLT and CCL modules that need to be installed, tested, documented and so on. I think it is just a slow meticulous process that needs to be worked through but technically derisked as these final pieces of the jigsaw are proven technology already being used elsewhere. When this machine is operating at 230MeV it will be a significant announcement that will open up a huge market. The approval process still to be completed with actual real use on humans is still sometime off but I expect the 230MeV milestone to be a trigger for the SP to recover.

I agree rxdav to the extent I was really pleased with the outcome of the Shropshire By-election. It would of been a huge gamble to significantly invest in production without some form of government backing. Look at Cytiva all those months back developing a test strip with Avacta and now Biden investing millions for test strips in 2025. Cytiva could of been so far ahead but it seems only the Chinese are ahead in the market so whilst it is easy to point the finger many large companies have missed the boat and we just have to be content and realistic with being able to sell a few maybe several millions a month which isn't a bad outcome.

Delayed and missed the boat it's looking that way! With hindsight a less greedy/attractive deal with a Chinese manufacturer to licence Affimers and produce 100's of millions of lfd's would probably of been a better route to market. Don't really understand why capacity isn't in place for sales outside the UK. As I've said before inspite of failings from all sides it looks like fortunately Avacta will still be able to sell all it can produce due to the market being so huge.

I agree but if you needed 300m tests would you be happy with a promise from AS about delivery timescales. Quite a few here are rightly concerned about a possible delay in abdx TT. Avacta aren't up to the scale required for government orders they will be happy selling whatever they produce but it will be in the few million a month not 100's of millions. Otherwise mass manufacturing and scale up would already be in place as AS was always bullish and confident of the long term requirement for lfts but not so much to gamble and put things in place ahead of this latest surge in demand.

Wobble I think he was referring to a 1 share trade as being a signal. It's been mentioned a few times as being used to secretly inform traders of imminent news by I would say it is just nonsense. Not sure about the mirror analogy as well.
Anyway keep looking ahead plenty good news to look forwards to. The 12th Jan video mediation conference could result in a positive outcome then hopefully the interim results will finally do the trick and get the SP in the range 15 to 20p.

Like many I too am not happy with lack of Government support for UK diagnostics but currently it would take Avacta over 10yrs to supply the required 300m tests needed in February. The Abdx TT and potential additional capacity mentioned in the APAC region would be a good start for the huge global demand outside the UK. Can't keep moaning about Boris if Avacta don't sell into this market just need to wait for the news that has been promised. Looks like it might be a bit late but in this market even with all the missed timescales it looks like there will be plenty of business to go round and indeed Avacta will sell all it can produce finally.

With regards to the rest anything is possible. I would be very disappointed if we aren't at 15 to 20p by end of Q1 2022 but with AIM I'm also expecting some peculiar SP movements to make genuine PI's question their investment. If this goes to plan the SP could go much higher and they'll be wanting cheap shares before the inevitable rise. If the results exceed expectations this could be one to hold onto for a while. Conversely we have been here before and lack of sales ultimately led to a lower SP but I don't think the results will disappoint this time....hopefully anyway!

The jury trial for the court case is not scheduled until October 2022 so thrre will need to be a settlement if it's going to be in February. This may be possible as there is a video mediation conference arranged for that month which might result in a settlement being agreed.

Bella I looked at this the other day and thought that the reason for not offering their current lft test for the 2 day lft option is because on the government website only PCR tests are valid for this option at present although this is under review.
It looked to me as soon as the government give the go ahead agile will offer them and somehow expect this to be on the 4th Jan. With all the connections to medusa/avacta if they're not affidx tests would be very surprising but i can see how it looks like they could just offer their currently availabe lft test.

Whilst the CTDA and HUA are out of AVCT's control I do believe AS has realised the importance of meeting his stated timescale of ABDX TT by end of calendar year. If it doesn't happen it just undermines the great work being done with a AVA6000 and raises further questions about AS's credibility with some shareholders here

Me too L1on 20p would be good for me but Inits 57p would be a dream so at some point soon I hope to be faced with a decision as to whether to sell a few or maybe all

I agree wobble there has been lots of news with great wins but the SP does nothing then out of the blue up it goes when you think we might have to wait for the interim results. Having held these for around 7 years I'm trying to apply some logic so that I extract maximum benefit out of the next rise but must admit I don't really have any idea where this will end up other than believing 15p is easily achievable.

I hope we get some news to justify and support this rise. If we do it begs the question why does it rise before the news is released? Maybe save that for another day.
There have been 2 significant spikes in the last 6 or 7 years which weren't backed up by news. Not sure what has caused today's rise but going forwards this time I believe any significant increase in the SP will be backed up by news of orders, profitability and licence deals with possible court wins. Having missed out on the opportunity to profit on those previous rises I'm not sure if we get to 15p this time it would be wise to sell up as with news to back it up we could go on a crypto ride. It would be interesting to know how some other disgruntled lth's will be managing their holdings during this upwards journey.
