Ultimately the preclinical results we have to date have been positive, which is a significant achievement The next 2-3 rns are also likely to be positive- we are reporting on nuvec loading and hopefully replicating positive immune response to other pDNA. Unfortunately Nigel overplayed his hand with the nov rns If he had said then that medimmune wish too see that we can manufacture nuvec at large scale and provide extra efficacy data in small animals, and then we will review the possibility of a deal- it would have been more measured and sensible? It may have lead to the same SP but with less volatility and greater trust in his judgement

It looks like medimmune have lost exclusivity to the project data Has the collaboration formally come to an end? The 5th nov rns mentioned co- development of an optimised version of nuvec and that medi planned to commit ongoing resources to this Was that all Nigel’s hot air? If we undertake the steps stipulated by medi to justify further resources will the collaboration be resurrected? It would be interesting to assess Paul stotts attitude at the bionow oncology meeting as to how promising AZ see nuvec

Annoyingly they have not agreed to that, but have given guidance on what they want prior to collaboration

It has been mentioned that nuvec is still not being GMP manufactured at large scale- it was wishful thinking to expect commercial partners to commit large amounts of Investment until that was achieved. Medimmune have expected all previous np partners to undertake manufacture whilst they develop it clinically- we still have to get to that stage

Well we have a full programme of development over the next 12 months with results due in all quarters.
We are ahead of competitors of inorganic nps and hopefully are now less naive as to the development needs of this
I am sorry this was not immediate transformation- We have a delay 6-12 months- still all to play for imho

Charty you are sending dog whistle signals to you trader colleagues, recommending sells without even looking at the rns. I agree a profit is profit though Give the forthcoming rns a look It is not fantasy to say that a tie up with a big company like medimmune could be Transformational I accept that it could at worst mean more of the same

Zebbo thanks for pointing out these passages of the rns I will try and comment on some of your points 1) the UoA project aims to provide data for potential partners if medimmune exercise exclusivity on the 9 month data. They will not wait to see the 4 wk results- they are likely to be positive- nuvec should be good at loading. The 6 month phase will show if it enhances the cytolytic dna immune responsese in appropriate models- relevant for commercial products are stuck in development. It could expedite human trials- though medimmune May accelerate nuvec development anyway 2) They have not given detail on the rna immune response that I can see. This is important to us- much more potential applications/ partners 3) I agree that medi’s Commitment/ decision to develop a new non viral, non lipid nanoparticle for nucleus acid delivery is v important. The investment is large- but once started is irrevocable. Nuvec could be first in class in human trials 4)I agree immune response is a key outcome measure that partners will look at in addition to safety The key step is for dna vaccines is to work in large animals/ humans. It may be easier to get success in rna and immuno oncology applications

I am hoping that there will be either extension of the collaboration or upfront payments/milestone/ royalties How good either is will also depend on the detail

Hopefully Nigel is negotiating hard as we speak! The spikes version of nuvec was chosen for dna delivery. If they progress it for hpv related cancers then we will get a financial. It is possible they will drop it. We still do not have immune response results with rna. We know it loads well- a good sign. They may want to develop an optimised version for rna delivery- probably means extension of collaboration but good hpv data means we could also get a financial deal in relation to a specific product and indication The work on delivery of peptides, chemotherapeutics and combinations is still early Hopefully we will get rns before 13/2/19

Imagine- you have built an electric car engine in your garage and Nissan agreed to codevelop a prototype- they agree to pay all development costs- you have to manufacture it at large scale. You will get a % of billion dollar annual sales if successful. Also you can strike deals with other major Car manufacturers eg ford who are also struggling with getting the right engine Wouldn’t you be happy?- there is risk but less when you partner with Nissan

Hopefully we will have an ongoing collaboration with medimmune and it was a smart move by Nigel tying up with Eu ncl and UoA both of which will provide new data at cheap cost However how do you see us growing from say the 30 m high mcap which is currently in sight? At the moment Nigel is v prominent figure- but doesnt he need support? Medherant, mymetics, Elucidate oncology all have scientists on the board as well. Don’t they need a lab to further develop nuvec and Their own gmp facility to manufacture it? How will they fund this growth? Thanks for your thoughts
