RE: Nudging Up17 Jan 2019 21:56
The results of EUNCL are due in Q3.
UoA phase 1 will take 4 weeks with results due in Q1, and phase 2 a further 6 months
There also plans to optimise the physio chemical properties of nuvec to optimise loading (depends on the moiety) and to test delivery of peptides/proteins. Options are widened with extension of the uniquest licence with the possibilty to deliver small molecules, animal vaccines, and combinations of products
Jansen started on 10th Jan and will build on an internal programme of work. They also plan to employ a NED to ensure they focus their efforts on work likely to lead to commercial deals
We are awaiting a Medimmune update. The last rns indicated that the positive study results justifed ‘ongoing further research’ with a view to agreeing terms on co-development of an optimised version of nuvec, under an appropriate collaborative agreement.
It is reasonable to expect that the next rns will either update us on the ‘ongoing further research’, or even better confirm the co-development programme and collaboration agreement
N4ps remuneration will depend on multiple factors including how much further codevelopment is needed
It’s hard to see that they would end the relationship at this stage and nuvec ‘fail’, unless Medimmune were chaotic and fickle in their collaborative relationships. They usually proceed in stages with go/ no go decisions and the first 9 month phase was passed imho
