We've already discussed this on another thread on this board but yes looks like a software issue. If the robot spontaneously catches fire then it's a robot issue, if they collide then most probably it's the software at fault. This should be easier to fix.

I can't read the article as I have read too many Grocer articles and don't want to subscribe. Can guess the articles content though. I'm not sure it's good news but it's certainly nowhere the disaster many want to make out.

It was a small fire, minimal damage, procedures worked, CFC came quickly back into operation.

True chilting, there's things about Ocado that really wind people up. Tim Steiner's ambition and success. The 600% share price growth that others have missed out on. The confidence of the company to do things differently.

Always happens, one slip up from Ocado and the I told you so brigade come out looking to inflate their egos. Then Ocado promptly deal with the issue, the share price rises and they scuttle away until next time..

No company is infallible. If the internet went down for a few months I would accept that loss, I do not believe that will happen.

If there is another CFC fire then it depends if Ocado's fire protocols, (sprinklers etc) are followed, as this should result in minimal fire damage.

Really though for you to be trying to lecture others on fires is in very, very poor taste...

ABF (primark owners) are down 24% in 5 years, Ocado up 593% in 5 years. Given those stats I understand your bitterness on here kallumama.

Primark has a history of devastating warehouse fires. In 2005 Primarks entire main warehouse burnt down.

And of course in 2013 1,400 people died in a Primark factory fire. Another blaze like that could rip a hole in the share price as people start to understand the devastating effect that cheap fashion has on people's lives.
