Excellent. Ocado has been an excellent play in the pandemic, over doubling it's share price. Different phase of share price growth now with vaccines around but looking good to rise from these levels with the worlds hunger for online grocery expanding exponentially. Ocado being in the right place at the right time with it's currently market leading technology.

So many different directions Ocado could expand into. Challenge is not to over extend and to move into most profitable arenas. Once you can master robotic online grocery delivery with all its perishable, oddly shaped products, different temperatures required etc. After this so many other markets seem so easy for them to excel in.

Saw that article. She's taking the ****. Probably Oracle planted it in the Ocado van in the hope of denting the share price ... lol.

Do8erman, Saga bouncing up today off relatively huge lows overall. Sagas clientele are the first in line for the vaccine in the UK. When they have the vaccine I think those that can afford it will let off a lot of steam and splurge on lots of expensive travel. Counting their blessings to have survived Covid.

Ocado has always been spiky upwards in the past. Everywhere you look there are tales all over the world of the huge continuing growth in online grocery. Once the pattern forms it becomes the new normal way of shopping. Massive markets out there that Ocado will be trying to move into. China for one..

There's a big bracket of pensioners who have a lot of money to spend on travel once confidence returns. I think there's an attitude amongst everyone now, pensioners especially, to do something whilst you can. Follow your dreams as Covid has proved that things can pop up and stop you.

If Saga can prove cruise travel is safe then customers will flock to them.

Recommend SAGA. Insurance side of company hit by pandemic but still pretty robust. Less holiday insurance, fewer claims though on house and motor insurance.

Travel side of company I believe will get a boost as cruises will be allowed to return slightly ahead of expected due to vaccine progression.

Big wall of OAP money waiting to be spent on trips as final salary pensioners load up on relief rally cruises using the cash they've saved in the pandemic.

Company is financially secure now due to return of astute former owner Roger de haan

Erm, that isn't the Oracle we have here..

Oracle'sot lucky so far. Many over the years have made money by shorting Ocado then lost it all as the next share price leg up opens and swallows them whole...

Instacart (one of the worlds biggest online grocery company's) was valued at $17.7bill last month. They are looking for a $30bill IPO early next year. The press leading up to this could shed cross over value onto Ocado. The shift towards online grocery is here to stay whatever the vaccine news..

Ocado up 800% over 3 years, that's good for me. Thankfully haven't been invested over the same period in Marks and Spencers. We've had a constant barrage from Marks and Spencers Neil on here even though he sold his Ocado shares for £5. Wasn't mocking MKS, was frustrated at their strategy though but the positive vaccine outlook has given them a huge lift and dented Ocado. Let's see how it all progresses. I am a long term investor. Was interested in buying MKS recently but missed the entry point. Did buy into SAGA last week and that's going great guns.

Think that surge was a trade made early in the day but put through at the end of the day. Discount that trade I believe, true price 2190p or so

Rises and falls come and go but the underlying story behind Ocado remains compelling. 800% up in 3 years. More to go upwards imo but it will be volatile.

Some shareholders sold out at £5 a share, crazy huh?

In 2015 autostore challenged Ocado re their tech in the Norwegian courts where I believe they won. The next step I think was Ocado to then file for patents in the UK in around 2015. This was probably challenged by autostore but Ocado succeeded in registering the disputed patents.

Then fast forward to today and autostore are now rechallenging the patents.

Anyone else have any input/ clarification re the above. It only represents my understanding of events, always dyor.
