A disappointing day but not an alarming one. Some support for the shares coming now. I'm still happy holding.

A poor article. Ocado have plans to expand capacity. This was all known prior to today. Ocado cannot implement new warehouses quickly as they have to be extensively fitted out with robotics and market leading technology. They have extensive plans to ramp up capacity greatly in the coming year.

Below is info I have researched and listened to today. DYOR as always.

The fall today I see as being caused by 3 factors

1- Ocado retail's growth rate this quarter was a bit lower than some were expecting (expectations were very high). This is due in part to the changeover from Waitrose to Marks & Spencers which occured within this reported quarter. In this changeover order volumes were reduced to ensure the switch to M&S went smoothly. It resulted in some lost sales which impaired the growth rate. This info was relayed in today's trading statement conference call.

2- Nasdaq fell 2% last night so that will be influencing Ocado's share price today

3- On the trading statement conference call today Tim Steiner was asked if he is seeing an increased demand for Ocado Solutions services overseas. He replied that he is seeing increased enquires from new grocery companies and increased demand from current partners but travel bans are hampering progress a little currently. As the bans are removed he sees good progress can be made in this area.

Depends how one interprets the above. Some may be disappointed that he wasn't more positive on upcoming Ocado Solutions contracts.

You are missing a crucial point. Yes the weekly orders have increased only 3% since last year. However the average basket size per order has increased from £104 to £133. Ocado are delivering far more product this year compared to last.

Noone on this board was expecting a new contract. New contract news is always a possibility. It was never expected though today

Ocado retails quarterly trading statements are always in the same format. A simple one page document. Look over the history of Ocado's RNS's to educate yourself

Nice first post, welcome to the board.

Ocado Solutions only reports updates at half year and full year. There's no quarterly update.

Info on the Solutions side does though does sometimes come out during the q and a sessions on the conference calls associated with the Ocado retail quarterly updates.

I've listened to today's q and a session, will update on here soon regarding it.

Obviously Ocado can't comment on ongoing legal cases. That could interfere in the cases.

Today's statement is an Ocado retail update not an Ocado group update. The conference call this morning mentioned a little re Ocado Solutions. Will update on this later

Looks good. Key info is "Ocado Group now expects full year EBITDA to be over £70m."

That's above the £60m upgraded expectation announced last month.

Good to see the solid rises of the last few days. So now onto tomorrow....

If we have news of added CFC demand from existing Ocado Solutions Partners or any news relating to new contracts then the share price should sharply rise.

If Ocado' Retails blistering growth is confirmed at the top end of expectations then there should be a modest share price rise.

If there's any news of delays to CFC rollouts or that the Autostore legal case is hindering demand for Ocado's tech in any way then the shares should fall sharply

Brexit the focus today as talks are due to conclude. Ocado isn't as exposed as most as going forward the majority of its earnings will in time be received in overseas currency. I expect Ocado to rise less than others on a deal announcement and fall less than others on a no deal.

Trading statement for Ocado retail will be extremely positive. Rocka999 cited that newly released Kantar figures have shown a 38.3% sales increase for Ocado compared to last year.

A focus is on any news re their existing overseas deals and any mention re the likelihood of others being signed in the future.

Good work OWLS, we all need to find what works for our own aims/requirements.

This current phase of growth for Ocado does strike me as a fascinating one. Online grocery shopping absolutely embedded and motoring ahead as a shopping method of choice across the planet. Ocado moving into vertical farming, robotics outside grocery and a few other areas.

Ocado is at the forefront of huge change. They have an excellent, entrepreneurial management team. I would think there are a hundred ways Ocado could forge ahead. Partnerships outside grocery possible. I don't see Ocado being taken over but it could purchase more companies.

Where might they go next? Very demanding ramping up existing partnerships and their demand for more bandwidth faster but the next moves may happen soon.

Exciting following a company whose possibilities are endless.....

Yesterdays trend continuing with Ocado outperforming the market today, 2270p currently. Rising ahead of the trading statement release next Thursday..

I listened to Kroger's results webcast. Everything was positive relating to Ocado. They reconfirmed they are happy with investments in digital partnerships, looking forward to CFC's opening etc etc
