Can't get behind the paywall for the full info but it looks like Ocado are now disputing one of Autostores patents in the US.

I think we saw a glimpse of what's to come recently when Sainsburys announced the closure of their meat, fish and deli counters. Gradually the bloated grocery store chains are getting indigestion from the online grocery boom. Yes they are keeping market share by ramping up their store pick offerings but it's not profitable.

Ocado have the solution. Scalable, profitable, dependable, best in class service.... Other grocery chains around the world will be for sure knocking on Ocado's door currently.....

I'm getting optimistic Oracle. The shift back to growth shares continues today. Ocado should benefit in the coming days.

Yes, factored in already is that the MKS joint venture is running at full capacity now and into the future. One possible surprise is any more news on extra demand for Ocado solutions services from existing overseas partners. You would think they are all chomping at the bit to ramp up their Ocado tech offerings.

Given Ocado has in June raised an extra £1bill - Finance isn't an issue that will be stopping them forging ahead. Covid will have brought about a lot of logistical issues but Ocado have said before that the issues haven't caused and material delays to existing overseas tech rollout.

I think Ocado will definitely sell their half of Ocado retail. They've alluded to it before but I agree it won't be soon . Most likely at least a year away.

Ocado Solutions would still be servicing Ocado retail. Ocado don't need to own half of Ocado retail for it to be successful.

As per my post here on Saturday I'm seeing a rise to £23.5 on day before results. After results a further small rise.

Market is turning strongly to growth stocks. Vaccines are known and factored in. Ocado is emerging from this pandemic with massively more demand for their services than prior. Expect this will be further outlined in their trading statement.

Yes fatsuperman, the price would have to be right for them to sell. If they did it would be the final evolution into a fully tech company. The retail side does give them a very useful testing ground for their tech so they won't be desperate to sell. However with the £1 bill or so they'd receive this could finance some fantastic overseas partnership developments. This would in time bring in much more revenue than Ocado retail does.

Ocado is all about what's happening in the future. They are building towards being in an incredible position 5 years from now.

Money talks shaggers54. Ocado want to focus on their tech side so I can see them selling their half of Ocado retail at some point to fund future expansion of Ocado solutions. I can't see it happening for at least 6 months as they will want to bed things down with MKS first, keep them happy. However if the new buyer suited MKS and Ocado then it could happen sooner..

I believe now is a very good time to buy in. Expecting the share price to rise to £23.5 or so before results. Expecting the results to show a slight further increase in demand for Ocado retail. The outlook for Ocado retail has to be extremely rosy. Expecting news of progression with Ocado solution projects around the globe. Autostore legal case risk factored into current share price (see previous posts on this. Every angle discussed at length in this board)

Last new Ocado Solutions overseas partner was announced a year ago, Aeon in Japan. Another could come along in the short term.

Very timid moves in Ocado recently. The 10th Dec trading update is getting nearer. Should see more pronounced moves, hopefully upwards, then.

Good first post applejack. Nicely timed. It does exactly feel like that. Stock rotation and the legal case have taken the pizzazz from Ocado's share price but that party may well start again at any moment. Ocado's offering looks solid. Huge demand worldwide but the market is seeing better valued opportunities elsewhere at the moment.

Trading statement is due on 10 Dec. That may start things up again. Like Hannibal in the A-team, Tim Steiner usually seems to have a cunning plan he's hatching. He's had great foresight to get Ocado to where they are. I back him to rev up Ocado's share price once again and send it upwards...

Wasn't mocking. Thought and still think there are big flaws in M&S. The vaccine efficacies of 95% for Pfizer and Moderna though were a surprise to me and to the market. It was a game changer. I was looking at investing but missed the entry point I was looking for. There we go. I invested in SAGA instead as I've posted on this board. They've gone up 57% in 2 weeks so I'm happy. Best of luck
