Few things are constant regarding Ocado however Clive Black is one, he's never been a fan of Ocado. His response re today's news:

Clive Black, analyst at of Shore Capital, said “at the current rate of cash burn, pencil in another fundraise down the line”.

Government Covid response has been hopeless. Johnson didn't even talk about getting test, trace and isolate sorted in his lockdown address. World's most useless.

You can test all you want but if those with covid don't isolate it all go on and on and on...

It was priced in earlier, the market view wasn't overall positive for MKS.

Currently the Dow futures pushing upwards and further optimism over Ocado results is propelling both Ocado and MKS upwards. The market is now pricing in more upside.

The lockdown length of a month and possibly longer was a surprise to the market after hours on Friday. It has big implications for non essential retail and of course for online grocery.

Ocado JV sales have effectively been confirmed by Ocado to be at the top of expectations. It is expected MKS will confirm this on Wednesday.

The other side of MKS business. Non essential retail in particular is dragging on the share price today re the month long lockdown news, which was not known on Friday.

It's known information, it is now priced in. MKS would have fallen further today without the Ocado news.

If in Wednesdays results MKS say the JV is absolutely hammering sales it will be no surprise.

Ocado solutions are tied into a supermarket chain when they sign a deal in a country. They are free though to work with other non supermarkets. This kindred deal opens another huge revenue stream for Ocado....
