GSK has averaged roughly a 5% annual dividend return over the last 20 years. This gives a total dividend return of 100%. The share itself has fallen in value by 30%. So that leaves a total return over the entire 20 year period of 70%. Comically poor....

Had you remained invested in Ocado and used your time wisely by posting on share boards you are invested in you could have had the time, and the money, to plant countless more forests, lol....

If you look at tech shares through the prism of looking for profits and dividends then you will miss some immensely profitable investments.

You are attempting to advise people on this board regarding Ocado equity yet you've publicly stated (Oct 2020) that you sold the Ocado shares you held at a measly level of £5. You have missed out on over 420% Ocado share equity growth...

You have also recently publicly stated (Feb 2021) that you have owned GSK shares for decades. The GSK share price has declined 30% over the last 20 years!

You have also publicly stated (in Jan 2021) that you believe the MKS share price will hit 215p in April 2021.

Why would anyone take your advice? lol

You were saying on Wednesday that the share had certainly had further to fall after it ended the day at 2513p. It has bounced since then.

2 x £100k director buys occured last week after the Ocado results were released.

Berenberg, an investment bank who have predicted Ocado's share price rises extremely accurately over recent years, increased their price target for Ocado after the results. I personally ascribe significantly more value to their view than Investors Chronicle.

Institutional shorts reduced last week after the results to the current record low level of 0.53%

There will, as always with Ocado shares, be significant volatility and overall market conditions will always play their part. However it looks like there is more bounce to come....

My post below clearly outlines that you, by your own public admission, have been invested in GSK for the last 20 years. Of course you do not address this in your response. The paltry return on the share over the years is embarrassing to any holder.

As for this Ocado chat board. Below is your post from 12 October last year. You admit that you sold your Ocado shares at £5. Ocado shares now are at an even higher level than they were when you posted... A 400+% further profit you've missed out on. It fuels your anger. Of course when I and others state uncomfortable facts you then threaten people. It's all you know. It's easier for you than confronting the facts....

Lol, am simply pointing out the facts...

Below is a quote from neilhumphreys5ya's 4th Feb 2021 post on the LSE GSK board

Today GSK shares are 1260p, 20 years ago (on 9th Feb 2001) they were 1,836p. Of course GSK paid dividends over the period but to hold on for 20 years and for the shares to be 30% down after that period shows Neil's farcical record of investing.

Of course though he derides Ocado day after day
- a stock that has returned 1002% to its shareholders over the last 5 years...

There's a lot of confidence within Ocado management that the current share price is an attractive one to buy into..

Ocado had reported its annual results on Tuesday, saying its loss narrowed, aided by a 33% jump in revenue and a large gain from exceptional items.

Correction - Institutional investors though are more researched and have reduced their short positions to record lows for Ocado shares.

Ocado has long been misunderstood by a huge amount if private investors. There is a conveyor belt of shorters/naysayers who post on here regularly who are out of touch with Ocado's technology/ future potential.

As I mentioned yesterday I believe it will bounce back.

New chairman bought £100k at £26.79 yesterday. A good sign that management, who are closer to Ocado than any of us, see good value in the current share price.

The below is Tim's response when asked how the planning for new Ocado Solutions partners is progressing:

"In terms of new customers, look, we're super busy talking to a whole bunch of people. It is definitely harder in terms of there are a lot of countries we can't get to. That got much worse towards the end of the year in terms of getting people out of the U.K. and into other countries. And it's also hard to get people to come over and see the facilities, which has always been a big catalyst in making the major commitment that these customers make to us. So obviously, the customers aren't in the U.K. and therefore, that is a barrier.

It's not an insurmountable barrier, and we have some conversations going on that could well result in customers signing up without seeing the facilities, but it's definitely helpful when they can."

BERENBERG RAISES OCADO PRICE TARGET TO 2,925 (2,900) PENCE - 'BUY'

Bank of America reiterated their current £34.60 price target for Ocado shares yesterday after the results were released.

It's a possibility chilting. Morrisons are tied up heavily with Amazon now but you never know. As you say anyone would have to pay top dollar to prise away Ocado group's share of Ocado retail. It's currently a very useful cash cow for the business.

I understand that. Thought there was room for them to be a little more expressive about future contract hopes though. Minor setback today. There's an incredibly bright future ahead for Ocado.

With Ocado set to spend £700m capex in the coming year I agree they will be looking very hard at when they could sell the other half of the Ocado retail venture. If a suitable buyer comes forward with a tempting offer then it should very much be looked at. I'd guess mid 2020 onwards is when they would start thinking about that. Need to bed the MKS venture down a little more.

The time save re the newly purchased robotic firms is impressive. I had read that it's the packing time that will be benefited most. Packing products into bags is almost entirely done by human hands currently. Ocado are clearly working to build the very best automated online grocery delivery model possible.

Tim Steiner gave an example a while back that it was difficult on many occasions to recruit and maintain human pickers at odd hours in extreme Canadian sub zero temperatures. Robots of course work all day and have no problems getting to work and carry no viruses.

I found the language around potential new Ocado Solutions partners underwhelming. They outlined that travel restrictions have made things more difficult but offered no more information on how advanced they are re securing new partners. New partners crucial to any new major share price rises.

Fair to me that the share has been marked down a little. Happy to hold for the long term.
