RE: Q&A and Presentation29 Jan 2019 21:58
I`m sorry Castaway I disagree with much in your post :
" OK sentiment is very low but the prospects are no different from when we were at .7p."
We are in a very different position to that which we enjoyed some three months ago , primarily because we now know much more detail about the precarious position the Company is in . That`s one major reason why sentiment is on the floor .
"And in effect nothing has changed - it is highly probable we will get an off-take partner and we will get finance to do the diamonds."
Everything has changed ! There are no guarantees of an off take partner . If we get sufficient finance would it really be a sensible decision to direct what limited finance we might just get toward Zimbabwe ? FWIW I think not , but I would add that in both respects we STILL don`t know exactly what is going on in Zimbabwe other than it is undoubtedly a seriously risky operating region .
"I have always stated VAST is a risky share but there is little difference now than there was 6 months ago yet we are down 80%."
This is blatantly not the case . imo .
"I would say we are a strong buy - not without risk but the MC is currently £7.8 mil and BPPM has been independently valued (just our share) at $52,000,000"
In this respect you seem to be ignoring our debts and repayment obligations .
Your a right about our lowly Mkt cap c. 8m GBP , and that it`s asset value that `Others` might assess , BUT , I think this also represents the real risk of some predator taking the whole over at this or an even lower price and doing the job that AP should be doing now : Dumping the loss making sectors , cashing in the profitable side of PP , clearing the crippling repayment liabilities and concentrating on getting BP up and running . A fairly straightforward strategy for some entity with the muscle to address these issues , a nightmare for VAST with such precarious finances .
With everything that has recently transpired I am still suspicious about the real reason behind Mercuria`s sudden departure . In fact I think their reluctance to procede with T2 was perhaps known for some time , perhaps in November when the SP started it`s catastrophic collapse ., not that it matters now , unless of course Mercuria eventually turn out to be the `White Knight` .
Anyway I hope you are right , if you are , it`s still going to take months and months to get us back on an even footing ,
but I now don`t think AP has the business acumen to rise to the challenges ahead .
Regards .
