Very disappointing SP reaction to the spud and the potential FO .
When you see this sort of decline on AIM there is usually some reason that eventually becomes apparent .
What`s worrying is that while I have read about many possible reasons , there seem to be no reasonable explicit facts that would explain such a decline over the last month .
On the positive side , should the forthcoming news be positive , we do know that this share can rocket so quickly that the losses experienced over the last few weeks will be completely eliminated .

I imagine you are one of those not underwater !
I suspect Whoflip is refering to `Traders` , in which case his assertions have little and certainly no long term significance but posts like this can be disruptive and of concern to more fragile investors .
For that reason I think people who post like that should be more explicit about their rational and reasons for making such statements .
On the other hand he may just have some genuine directional information (but i`m not holding my breath on that one .)

Can you say:
Who is `Playing this like a fiddle` ?
Why they are `Playing this like a fiddle` ?
What do they intend to do when they`ve finished `Playing this like a fiddle` ?

I think many PI`s on here , especially those who you refer to as underwater will be very interested to know the answers to those questions .

I`m another one of the optimists , or are we just gamblers ?
The sp is certainly disappointing ~~ very disappointing . I haven`t noticed any big sell off , equally I haven`t seen any great buying enthusiasm and of course we all know may of the reasons for this ; but , this could all change in a nano second when that FO comes through .
After everything that DW has said about the FO , I can`t believe he will let us down . Everything still to play for , it`s a question of how big will any JV be , and when will it be confirmed . Apparently we should know in about six weeks .
I hope that will then kick start the whole enterprise .

BUT , which ever way you cut it , an incompetent AP signed off on the deal .
Anyway it`s history now , but AP has a long road ahead to redeem himself .
Personally , I like to see AP employed in a different role ( perhaps advisory executive director ) and someone with direct experience in the mining industry take over as CEO .

Some good points made there Castaway . Assuming the Off take deal does materialise , then yes , the sp will surely rise . I`m just mulling a re-entry point to attack my average . I suppose we may drift a little as the new shares hit the market but the difference is probably small in relation to the upside should another off take come through .
That`s the 65k question : will we get another partner , when , and at what cost ?

FWIW ~~~ My feeling is that AP remained confident that the Mercuria T2 was absolutely nailed on , and that he genuinely thought he would be able to eliminate the Bergan debt as soon as the funds materialised .
Now , I`m giving AP the benefit of doubt here and it may be that Mercuria just played him for a bit of a dope , but , which ever way you cut it , AP was both naive and incompetent . I would also like to know which of the executive Directors either promoted or even encouraged the Bergen deal . Well , I am at least encouraged to know that the lights are still on and they seem to be taking steps to address the issues which they should have done six months ago .
I agree Batfink666 , the business is unlikely to go belly up , but , in persuing revived finance and support from anther offtake partner I fear it will be the shareholders who will pay the price of AP`s stupidity .
We always take the hit , we always suffer the consequences of inadequate management .
I suspect there may be further downside/dilution before a sensible route forward is agreed .
My hope is that we get a pleasant surprise left field ~~~ but that may just be `Lucy in the sky with Diamonds`.

Yes , If no off take those are the only two likely possibilities ; B T2 , or Placing .
The other escape routes seem equally devastating : Fire sale of assets , or even fire sale of Company .
(Excluding 10% personal interest in BP of course .)
