Maybe Abingdon could change its name ( not that they should have to inmv ), but if it helps in terms of marketing then that would not be a bad thing. Its just a thought as their products speak for themselves inmv. However we all know the world is a fickle place and people do tend to remember bad publicity so by doing this it may help with the marketing of the products going forward.

Maybe it is the Glp stooges unwinding their corruprt positions. After all the glp is funded by g..d knows who. Could be the Chinese or other rogue states. Let alone large pharma/diagnostic companies who have a vested interest in seeing the opposition crushed.

I like the bit when they these companies awarded valuable licences. What a joke . Valuable my a...rs when you apply hmg rationale. My hope is that all operators withdraw any offers on the next round of licences and tell hmg why.

Maybe someone could answer this. What is stopping Serica delisting and relisting in say Canada. As far as I can see taxation agreements would mean we would pay the local rate and receive tax credits back for the excess difference.

The U.S is intimating that they will apply a windful tax. So there may be no escape globally if this occurs. Their reasons are quite different as all they seem worried about is high prices at the pump.
What is going to be interesting is at what level will their taxes will be set at.Does anyone have any ideas on this

Fwiw i have reinvested today .As i believe once the news spreads that Abingdon has been fully vindicated orders will start to flow. This has been very painful for all concerned here. Not just for shareholders ,but importantly for employees both here and at Omega. As some posters will remember i held Omega until it became clear HMG would never honour their intitial commitment. Hopefully Abingdon and Omega will now both flourish and without hmg intervention.

If you factor in the dividend we are now not that far away from when we went ex div. If of course you discount the rise on that day. So fingers crossed we have reached the bottom even with the fret of additional taxes

Thats sounds a good idea. Thats the sort of thing the papers and news channels should be all over. Maybe then the government would take note. Maybe even Labour would consider this.

I think you just said it shakeypremis. No one knows how long gas prices will remain high. This is why the gvnmt need to set levls where this tax can be cut. Which has been muted by Newkotb and other knowledgeable posters on here. I would like to think that this current government somehow know that prices will remain high, but i amfraid inmv they are currently a rudderless ship in a storm

To follow on would it now be more benneficial due to the wft and possible fret of additional taxess to sell BKR and invest the proceeds overseas. Once again apologies if someone has already mentioned this in the past.

Here is a thought. If North Eigg is succesful rather than develop the field Serica could sell all or part of it. They could then utilize the cash towards an overseas prospect spun off seperatly from the north sea assets. The only possible downside to this is where they would stand on the tax element. Maybe retaining a percentage would mitigate this in someway.

The usual drop occuring again before the u.d opens. Hopefully we won't have a re occurrence of Friday
