I am comfortable with the understanding of market dynamics,but just want to make sure that I have not missed anything .In terms of net asset value re land versus any future liabilities.

What i find unbelievable is how WHO have acted over this. Omega carried out numerous field tests which WHO and the Clinton trust passed and yet there seems to be still red tape stopping this test. Whats going on here . Is it big Pharma companies and politics hampering this. If so they are a crime against humanity inmv.

You are on. Provided the loser pays the costs on the share transfer. Also we will need to set a deadline. Lets say within six months we will either see increased equity positions being added by these institions or not.

Maybe someone could varify this for me. Are we now approaching net asset value as per the last results. I am working on the assumption that land prices have not fallen.
For me i bought in considerably higher from where we are now and sold part my holding back along, but would be interested in peoples views in terms of the asset value.
The dividend was the original attraction , but how i see it is that even if it is cut the underlying assets support the share price where it is now. I would appreriate if someone could clarify that there is currently no debt and possible liabilities going forward.

Fair point . Some still do i.e BlackRock. Maybe this will push Serica to list on the main market as pension funds will look more at equities again with the ldi fiasco inmv

Coordinated buy backs is the answer now we have a progressive dividend policy. Institutions and pension funds love that kind of thing together with a strong balance sheet. Just two months to go for eigg then decisions can be made which direction they take.

Shanklin gave us a reminder yesterday as the funds may be needed for Eigg development which the bod intimated. Im happy to wait until these results in the hope that bod have something up their sleeve should it be a duster. If it is succesful more wells will need to be drilled together with possibilities with south eigg. So maybe with less than two months to go it is better that they do nothing for now. After all we have waited this long.inmv

I have similar views to yourself troubledseller. My only difference is that i would like to see a coordinated buy back in the mean time to support the share price when needed. I think we just need to get Eigg out of the way and then hopefully everything will become alot clearer as to where we will be going in the future. Also a very welcome rise today . It started to look a little bit grim.

Agree with you infor re the buy back of shares. A good example as to how buy backs can work together with a sound dividend policy is Imperial Brands. They have recently started a coordinated programme and it seems to be working along side their dividend policy.

Lets hope so we have had a bit of a bad run of late. At least we are not alone. As i posted earlier i think over the next few months pension funds will look more at stocks with strong balance sheets that pay a dividend. So hopefully we could see an influx of money coming in. Not just here , but in the market as a whole.inmo

I think we may see alot of this in the future and not just with Serica ,but as the market as a whole. Many pension funds will now need divest from ldi,s and into equities. This could be excellent news for Serica due to its cash pile and dividend growth. Hopefully we will soon see other pension funds coming on board.inmo

Agree.Shanklin. North Eigg is going to be the catalyst now. Hopefully we will get results before December as I would be surprised if they don't get leaked in some way.

To interject here shanklin .You only need to see how the share price has been responding during the past year or more. It basically has been moving with gas. What hasn't helped is the lack of acquisitions despite as we have been told by bod is ongoing. Didn't we hire someone back along to help with this. Fwiw a number of lth have posted similar comments and I am totally in agreement with them. It's time for some kind of action. Even if share buy backs have to start inmo.

Without talking my own share down this doesn't have to rise. Many lth waited along time for this to trade above 120. The market inmv is looking for a deal otherwise this will continue to fall unless gas spikes again. The new trading level could well be around cash at hand. Fwiw I added yesterday,but will be damm annoyed if they don't come up with something if eigg is a duster. Inmo we cannot just rely on high gas prices.

Also forgot to add . This is the sought of thing Serica/the house broker together with other oil and gas companies should all over. So why arent they. As a whole they really do seem to lack p.r skills inmo

IOG could be an opportunity now, but i dont think Serica are actively looking to take over another company. Despite their constant talk of actively looking for opportunities. Although they cannot dictate gas prices they cvan most certainly be more proactive on the merger/acquisition front. Although Kistos was not ideal i would hope that they are actively persuing similar negotions with others. Otherwise i dread to think where the price will end up should north eigg be a duster.
For me the words strongly advise holders to do nothing when we were approached still sticks in my mind (apologies if i have not quoted the exact words).If we were approached again fwiw i would be accepting the offer/merger unless Serica comes up with a deal or North Eigg.

The last update together with previous ones have always had the narrative of how Serica fills a valuable contribution to the U.K gas supplies and quite rightly are proud of it. Maybe it is now time that the government acknowledges this more vocally.
What i cannot understand is why Serica /hmg are not securing delivery at a fixed price for a period of time. Surely it cannot be that diffuicult to sign a deal to deliver ex amount of gas for a given period. This must surely be the best route forward in these unpridictable times.

We may be in for a better day today. The dow closed strong and continued strong after its close. So hopefully we should have a good day on the back of this.
