RE: Shut Down13 Nov 2022 07:50
Reading the latest press i am afraid we are going to have to assume the worse case that of a thirty five percent wft tax. Our immediate worry is how Serica is going to respond to this. I never favoured a special dividend before, but i most certainly do so now as i cannot see the point of running a company where seventy five per cent of its revenue goes in taxes.
Hopefully if they do return cash we should be looking at two pounds a share being returned to shareholders over the next year, but where would that leave the share price.
The plus side to this is that they could then cut production to a bare minimum and then ramp it up in maybe five years time. What is farcicle here is that the banks, pharma, tech companies have got away with this scot free yet again..Have the new socialist con party forgotten how the good old public bailed out the banks due to their and the regulators ineptnes. Oh silly me, but as long as we are subsidised to do as little as possible in the new state then that is all that matters now.All this is inmho .
