Like it or not Serica have and are still caught up in a political agenda. As a investor all this has bearing on where we are going. My opinion is that they are playing a long game or are in bed with hmg crooks. Either way this needs resolving as myself and a number of lth seem to feel time is now running out in terms of loyalty of holding this share. The words strongly recommend holders to do nothing is now sounding like market manipulation inmho. Would they dare say those words had the trading statement had been released in the US without backing it up with something tangible.i very much doubt it Inmho ???

As I posted earlier. Maybe new year honours are in the offing for services rendered to hmg . Don't be surprised if Serica takes up all the current licences that any sane company would now not touch with a barge poll. INMHO so dyor etc

The problem is Serica has been in cahoots with hmg for some time. Maybe knighthoods are afoot

HMG have let everyone in this country down.
LTHS have stumped money during the bad times and still kept faith when this spiked on false hopes. As for broad sholdeers . Well, they have zero sholders and integrity inmv. So before i log out as i need another bottle of hard earned vino. The hmg mob need investigating. . Especially going back to the covid fiasco inmho

Something i would like to see now are more collaborations within the sector, especially with the independents.
This must surely be the time that Serica together with other inedependat companies could join forces and purchase a large overseas asset. That alone inmv would send a message to hmg. We could even sell the gas back to them from overseas.

My view is that it is all not over for Serica yet as they have pulled deals off in the past at a time when everything looked bleak. Kambuna,Erskine and BKR springs to mind.
We could be looking at the rebirth of them due to this tax levy where they seek opportunities overseas. The difference this time around is that they are sitting on a vast sum of money.Which should enable them to purchase an asset the size of BKR where they can add their expertise in extracting more from the existing asset inmv.

I wonder what hmg thinks about this coming from a thick voter like me self.

All UK oil and gas companies could contact all their shareholders directly intimating how unfair the government stance on this levy is. After all shareholders are voters so maybe this can be translated back to the government.

Banburyboy. I most certainly would not tell you to get knotted. As a investor I appreciate yours and other posters on this bb.It is the gvnmt and situation we are now in due to their incompetence and that is not just our investment here,but the wider picture.

We now have a government that will facilitate us and far east imports of LNG. Why. also why isn't anyone with an ounce of a brain raising this. It beggars belief

This government have previously and continually are a crime against UK citizens. As for being concervative they are not. They have and still continually destroy everything that the concervative party has stood for. Let alone their illegal acts of back handers and deals involving foreign entities whilst destroying UK companies in the process..

Thanks for the link Elmore,but it still appears that hunt the tw....t hasn't taken on board the unfair and I'll thought out tax levy. Unless I have missed something. If not then Serica should use every channel available to them . I.e brokers,press,social media to voice their dismay at this inmho.

Like it or not we are in serious trouble if we want to stay independant for the following reasons. Which your good self and other lth are aware of.
No growth prospects now eigg is now just a maybe
Huge tax burden going forward
No growth plan apart from words intimated by the board
An open ended cheque book for a possible side track drill

Inmv they may as well shut up shop and return all cash to shareholders before someone aquires us through a paper deal and takes all the cash anyway before the hmg thickoes do it .

Kistos is the only saving grace here inmv together with a combined group re listed overseas. It may even end up to be listed in Scotland the way this country is headed inmo
