they are in the process of signing a gas deal with the states. The irony is that the gas that the states suplies will probably consist in part of what u.k producers have extracted from the north sea as this is sold on the open market.

Thats is my view as well. Without crying over spilt milk this is a very good investment at these levels together with the advancements they have recently made. As many posters have said it only needs one good order. Fwiw i held Omega for a number of years for cd4 and food tech. I still hold a few, but have recently been adding here as i feel that this will eventually acquire a lucrative contract and even if it does not in the short term a larger player will be interested in some kind of merger/takeover. That is just my view so dyor etc.

My understanding is the IOC share of Rhum is now held by trustees with the money held in an escrow account. Under normal circumstances trustees are free to act in the interests of the trust. So if that is the case maybe the trustees could buy Sericas share of rhum if it is beneficial in terms of tax. This would then give Serica extra funds to invest in a country that is more friendly towards the oil and gas industry. inmv

My feeling is covid has not gone away and testing will come back with a vengence . Hopefully this time HMG will embrace U.K diagnostic testing companies rather than overseas ones. We also have the added benefit that the GLP have now been kicked into touch .

Preferably the company will invest overseas no matter what this government does. As they cannot be trusted.They intimate one thing one week and then do the opposite the next. Also between now and 226/8 we may have ended up a half a dozen new pms. Could even suffer another lockdown.

How does taxation work if you purchase another company using all your cash and possible debt. In others words do you avoid tax. This bye the way is not advocating tax avoidence, but as many posters on here are aware that this ill thought out and unfare. when many companies prospered on the back of covid and are still paying little tax. inmho

As most are aware on here Harbour Energy has been very vocal about how their investment will be driven abroad if further taxes are applied. I am hoping that Serica together with other independents are doing the same. Inmv if they join forces and clearly show hmg how much revenue could be lost should there be an exit. Then surely this would be an excellent bargaining tool. The danger here is that Hmg are only discussing matters with Shell and B.P
