This is a step in the right direction. And if the company loses customers, that's fine, they are likely the unprofitable ones who keep returning gear. The company needs to focus on profitability not sales right now.

Crazy, crazy times...

Under 40p to sell this morning. I'd never have believed it. I knew there were headwinds but I honestly thought those were already well baked into the price. Remarkable.

It's weird. Last results were good, plus all these Sutardja Family purchases... and yet we're back to all-time lows today.
Apart from the general malaise, I'm racking my brain for company specific reasons.
The China connection?
Recent IPO, so a short track record?
I really don't know.

In terms of profit maximisation what you say is absurd.
And I can assure you, selling shares and then buying back when they are cheaper is not a form of shorting.

That is what he says. It is weird.
He will tell you he bought the shares many years ago at a v cheap price, so he's still in profit, but that doesn't change the fact that the shares should have been sold before the drop and then re-bought now.
It's also doubtful there will ever be dividends paid - I personally think it will go private - but that's conjecture.

Trading, it is your money and you are entitled to your own strategy.
I'm just saying that presiding over an 80% loss over a year in order to obtain dividends in 2025/26 is mathematically a mistake.
As for my strategy in relation to Boohoo, I admit, I didn't have one - or a good one anyway. I got suckered in. Here I am today, heavily underwater, but loss aversion (another defect) keeps me in.
I feely admit my mistakes. It's step one in the learning process. Give it a go.

It's not unreasonable to post negative comments about a company that's lost 80% of value in a year, or a sector indeed (retailing) that's under the most severe pressure. We shouldn't be subject to incessant ramping in these circumstances. I want to read all views at all times. I hold Boohoo.

I fear this will be taken private long before 2025. Price looks too tempting for P.E.
Expecting plenty of capital restructurings, placings, buyouts, etc among the retailers over the next 12 months.

Share price has dropped 80% in a year while you hang on grimly for dividends in 2025 or 2026??
