But he did look at in on 2nd Aug and indeed wrote and published his analysis on the same day.
He then revisited and updated his analysis in the light of today's RNS, and, in the course of doing that, he also re-quoted his piece from 2nd Aug. It's all there in Peoplepower's post, if you read it properly.
By the way, I can totally understand why Scott wanted to re-quote what he said on 2nd Aug - that analysis turned out to be spot on in the light of today's RNS.

Of course he's analysing after the fact. He's only got the info in the RNS to rely on like the rest of us.

As an investment trust with permanent capital, I presume Chrysalis is not subject to any limits or restrictions and would not be forced to divest at distressed prices in the way the Jupiter open-ended funds might have to.

Put it this way, it'll take a brave gamble to top-up in the days leading up to 30th August. I won't be adding until I know more.

The clarity we need is less about who's buying and selling and much more about the uncertainties caused by the auditor-delayed report. Market is speculating as to what may come out on 30th August and is clearly worried of an announcement of a highly dilutive capital raise at current depressed valuations.

Stretching it to compare Ralph Lauren to Boohoo...

Also, that the acquisitions "bring e-liquid technical and regulatory compliance knowhow" is a very good thing in my view.

That Equity Development note is confusing.
They say "The acquisitions are... expected to be immediately EBITDA (adj.) earnings enhancing", but then also say "At this stage we leave our existing outlook in place with the proviso to revise at the next earnings update" without giving a reason why.
To me, the fact that the acquisition is being financed out of existing resources with no commensurate cut in the divi, is encouraging.

No share price reaction to what is acceptable progress on the company's recovery programme.
Market will take time to recognise this improving picture.

I note he received a controversially large bonus when the share price went well above the IPO price, but that bonus was paid in shares.

I don't mean selling shares post-IPO. Are you saying he didn't sell any of his holding for cash at IPO?

People are saying that Moulding's net worth is tied up in his holding of THG shares and so he needs to attain value for them.
Happy to be corrected, but didn't Moulding substantially cash out at IPO for an IPO price of 500p per share? If so, he's cash rich, with his cash far exceeding the current value of his shares.
