I'm not terribly familiar with this share (yet), but I do think Fishy has a point. Rarely is a 12% divi sustainable and usually when a stock declines to the point where the yield goes north of 10%, management steps in to cut the divi in my experience. It shouldn't happen that way because it's just the share price that's fallen, but it does, the divi gets cut. Personally, I wouldn't mind, say, a one third cut - after all, even the high yielding tobacco stocks won't give you more than 7-8% p.a. and they have a divi record stretching back decades (centuries even!), whereas as far as I can see ATYM has paid just the one dividend in Dec 2021.
Could be the recent sp decline is simply a sign that the market is expecting a cut, as energy costs etc squeeze margins.
