How would I describe it?
I'd say that Boohoo's share price decline has little to do with MMs and shorters and much to do with the fundamentals of the company, the industry and the current macro influences.
Not an exhaustive list, but factors like: declining growth in company earnings and sales; margin pressure, higher interest rates, looming recession, besieged consumer, competition from Shein, competition from returning to shops, risk-off sentiment in general and especially towards online consumer facing businesses... and most of all that LTHs like me were wrong-footed as to how bad things would get. Good to admit and see these things.

But you just called them 'crooked' - that's close to blaming isn't it?

Nasty 10% drop this morning on no news that I can discern.
The baby getting thrown out with the bathwater of consumer stocks.
My finger is hovering over the "Add" button.

Market thinks the company should reign in spending on its expansion plans.
Weaker consumer demand + higher input costs (esp wages) = margin pressure.

No guarantee about the length of time, but fair enough.
I am interested - company does have good features and seems to be on a promising earnings growth path - but I think I'd like sight of the audit first and take my chances thereafter.

You're not the only one to feel foolish BoracicLint - I'd say we're all on a journey with this company!
I got suckered in by the 1st RNS and bought a day later for 23p. I then watched aghast as within days a 2nd RNS came out saying problems could be material and watched the value of my buy decline 75% as the price dropped to 8p. I then watched the rise as Boohoo built their stake and, at 24p, before Boo was declared, my nerves couldn't take it anymore and I bailed out for a mad 4% profit. I resolved not to touch the share until I'd actually read the audit (which I should've done in the 1st place). Then watched the price go on up to 30p once Boohoo were named... and now we are here.
What an experience! Now I really understand it when people say AIM is the wild west.

Hope yr right HH. I'm no expert on company suspensions and am somewhat out of my depth in this matter. I only have my experience with DX plc to go on.

Well, obviously they didn't know... and how would they unless you think they had a hotline to REVB's auditors? I mean even REVB's management, if we are to believe the RNSs, didn't know to start with.
While many were applauding the REVB purchase as a good bit of business by BOO (and it may et be), I was actually very surprised to see it happen. Buying a stake in REVB right in the middle of the shenanigans & volatility caused by a delayed audit is pretty high risk. Where was BOO's corporate governance. Maybe that's why THG didn't go for it - the new chairman reigned in Mr Moulding? Who knows?
But it's been a mad, mad few weeks - first RNS said the audit was delayed to 31/08/22 but nothing material; second RNS said the audit was delayed to 31/08/22 but it probably is material; and now the third RNS saying the audit probably won't make 31/08 and so the share will likely suspend.
Once the share's suspended, it'll likely be untradable for many months - check the history of DX., a company that I'm unfortunately in.

No. Last year 29p was paid. This time around (Whalebone's right) it's 3p, so a 90% cut. Last year's must have been a special.

Anyway, I've topped up today at 88p. Good enough price for me.
They had "cash and cash equivalents" of £43.8m as at 26/06/22 and say they are embarked on a programme to "mitigate costs".
Mad where this share price is.

Skimming through the last updates, plenty about the 'achievements' of increasing headcount by 20% and 'strengthening management', but not much on profitability...
Like plenty of 'growth' companies, suspect they'll have to do a pivot and focus less on growth and more on profitability and cash preservation going forward.
They seem to be ok with cash headroom - £30.5m and debt free as at 31/01/22 - but now?
They released a "Pre-Close Trading Update" on 24/08/21 and I wonder if they'll do another this year.

Well, I've dipped my toe in the water here - not too many, but see how it goes with a small initial purchase.
I reckon the bad news - and there's been plenty of it in this trust - is sort of baked into the price.
Even using danbaker's estimated current nav of 150p, today's buy price represents a pretty compelling discount to nav of 42%.
I probably would trade this for a quick 10% but I'm not expecting that to happen. More likely a 50-100% rise over the next 3-5 years.
Is Jupiter's 22% holding an overhang? I don't think so, why would they stymie their own investment?
Could be I'm the only mug punter giving it a go. It does feel v difficult to invest at the moment.

Thanks guys. That the div is maybe around the 3p mark and not around the $0.395 paid in December, better explains the recent share price action.

A.Jones, I 'm afraid we're past the 'exploring other options first' stage, I'd say a capital raise is absolutely nailed on. 'Not imminent' just means not straight away.
Best hope (and I think it's achievable) is that the company raises enough capital to see them through this cost of living crisis and then the share price slowly recovers.
Let's face it, if they raise at a discount to 9p, we are all getting heavily diluted here. Maybe there's a catalyst for the sp to rise between now and the announcement, when it comes, that would be helpful, but I don't immediately see one.
Could a trade or PE buyer come out of left field? Absolutely! Everything's buyable at the right price and in this market anything can happen - just look at BOO's recent and sudden stake in REVB - but it would be more likely a trade buyer than PE - PE will struggle to access the cheap funding they've gotten used to.

At least that's what it's saying on HL.

Firstly, you think these boards should only be for those that are invested. That's not how it works... and that is a v good thing... all views should be allowed.
Secondly, there's nothing random about this share to me - nothing at all.
If you actually bothered to read other people's comments instead of simply posting loads of repetitive ramps all day, you would know that I am a disgruntled LTH who is going through the process of discovering skeletons in the company's cupboards.
You've got a bad affliction of confirmation bias, A.Jones.
