Re CCL, clearly the market is spooked with the comment that the share price might go to zero, implying the company goes bust. I very much doubt that will happen, but I could see a discounted placing if the recession/cost of living crisis lasts.

I'm never sure exactly how these things play out against the share price: on the one hand it's never great that a major shareholder wants to be rid of more than half their shares, but, on the other, it's only 2% of total share capital. We shall see.

An unannounced trading update is far more serious than a broker's note. They are not 'similar episodes' in any way.

Market doesn't care...

I've added this morning. Nothing is for certain, nothing without risk, but this is simply too cheap given the net cash position and the well covered yield. Provided the next trading update is not another disappointment, this will do well from here in my view.

Yes, the financing operation is a concern but they seem to be winding it down. As for the debt, they also have a fair amount of cash on the balance sheet. I believe they are well financed following the £100m raise in Nov 2020. Plus it's a low, low price and a recent director buy was at a price above today's...
Anyway, these are opinions.

May I put N Brown into the hat? Looking at downtrodden online retailers, I think the risk/reward for that one is better than most - and I've put my money where my mouth is and added today.

I've added too on today's price weakness. Downtrodden, cash on the balance sheet, close to recent lows and a director buy recently at a higher price. I'll put this one away and be patient.
