LOL I think you are confusing matters between research partners and commercial partners 201 update and I think we'll be fast tracking to stage lll and also JV. Whose to say that the negotiations could be covering alll onocology compounds!?

Gents, they are just bating you. We know the potential, we know that salaries been paid are competitive in the bio sector, we know we have world class products and we know we are on the brink of commercialising 401 to transform the company from RnD entity to commercial onocology bio company. The share price is where it is now because the intinsic value of the compounds have not been realised. Perhaps a bad analogy, but like an oil company that knows oil is there, but needs to know in what quantity and quality. Unlike oilers VAL know the results but do not have the equivalent of a world oil market to sell on so have to JV / or sell to a buyer. What we do know is that JV / TO / product deals in the Bio sector are in a frenzy at the moment. Val are in advanced discussionss i.e they are nearly if not there all ready and perhaps doint the DD and legals now.

Tozerk, they have delivered two commercial onocology compounds and now in in discussions to commercialise - read the RNS’s its there to see. Flip - google onocolgy JV and deals and you will see that £500 million is actually at the lower end of the spectrum.

£25mn to £12mn - where has it gone? R’n’D thats where in to initially two blockbuster CTII onocology compounds, each with +£500mn market value. They are not investing in to buy to let properties and we want to pay these scientists top dollar not peanuts to bring the results we have seen in the last 8 months - groundbreaking. Unfortunately R’n’D doesn’t provide a financial return and is a bottomless pit until you get a breakthrough and VAL has two with another two in reserve. Even if the number of share was to double and the market cap was £24mn, what do you think a 401 staged +£500mn JV would do to the share price? Transformational! Please can we stick to the story and not the noise on the periphery such as director salaries which are irrelevat the bigger scheme of things

Its only a theory, but after the backlash off the recent placings and then Align, the BOD would be foolish to do the same with PI’s controlling 95% of the votes, unless there was more substance behind their motives.

Harley, yes that is what I thought and the reason for an issue of 100% more shares without preemptive rights to give up say 50% of the company in return for a sizeable cash injection to transform VAL.

I know cash is the lifeblood of all companies and VAL have no turnover so have no choice, but after the backlash from investors and dolution, the BoD would be mad not give more of an update to appease shareholders. As I said before and from the tone of Satu’s email to Fred, I think there could be a surprising silver lining to be announced shortly. I think PI’s can either spit blood or be calm and patient

What is the full amount of shares? Also, as shareholders we have the right to vote. Getting rid of pre-emptive rights is suicide for pi’s - no way! The only proviso is if they RNS for example “ VAL have contracted with Roche in JV with a view to CTlll and commercialisation of VAL 401 for £750 million in incremental stages with an initial cash injection of £200 million in exchange for 50% of VAL’s share capital”. That would be 30p a share.

401 JV deal soon and possibly 201 as they state CTII in the last accounts, but waiting for update which could come anytime soon! 101 and 301 early stages, but very exciting and promising, particulalrly 101 and its possibilities. The JV frenzy is upon us which reminds me a little of the dotcom boom with crazy valuations. VAL in the right place at the right time with their onocology compounds, all ducks lined up and fully patented (201 and 401) and on the shelf ready to sell on! Wish I had more money to invest as I would pile it in here.

Valju - i would say their hands are tied so they cant comment on questions posed by email but WTFDIK Johan - agreed, 201 or 401 news makes no difference to me as long as it is positive on both fronts!

Exactly JJP, all the 401 ducks are lined up, we know they are in imminent commercial talks and I’ll keep topping up where funds become free at sub 3p. I can’t say a no brainer but I’d be gob smacked if all the optimism fell flat. Don’t forget we have it all again soon as we have 201 update and CTII and then commercialisation next.
