I stated some reservations before the verdict, but I am clear that there is no excuse for SL when ruled we do infringe. Pretty difficult to win any appeal on a ruling this comprehensive and negative. Always possible I suppose, but rather than fight on it seems time to be pragmatic with reality. License deal and move forward

Defence has been led by SL and he takes the responsibility . we could have settled but fought and lost. That's the price for the strategist who doesn't command my support now in that role. Well, maybe they know verdict now and we get an rns Monday (or Tuesday). Who knows I expected it by mid month, so working on the usual missed expectations we are all too familiar with, I will give myself a grace period up to this Wednesday where i can Broadly still claim mid month delivery. I rather thought the two parties would be advised of outcome ahead of publication under embargo . No idea, but I'd assume a small heads up on ruling to be kept confidential just ahead of formal publication.
