I have bought many shares in AIM companies that were high tech and unique. Many have failed such as Blinkx, Ceramic Fuel Cells, Viology DDD, Eruma plus one or two more. (Oh dear)
The difference with HDD is the strength of the Board and it's long term determination. Look at the latest appointment's CV. Jan Ward has real credibility.
In 2006 in bought my first shares for 11 Pence each. (Ah yes, they were the days!) Since then there have been a succession of new coatings and new customers.
A tiny minnow of a company has an almost impossible task to deal with the complex, structured and risk adverse management and executive layers of big business which all do very good cover my arse exercisess .
It is a massive achievement to get Airbuses' approval. We have finished the Airbus marathon and are now on the suppliers 10,000 Mtrs steeplechase. The long jump will be added later!
I think the financial year 17/18 will be the one that makes it either in sales or contracts.
