As today was a real bellwether for how the market felt about LOOP and its prospects. Unfortunately LOOP failed and the market has no faith in their ability to convert this pipeline. You would have thought a day like today would have been good for LOOP.

There is only one thing that can turn the tide here, and that is pipeline conversion. Until then, a drift to mid to low 60s is on the table.

This new strain could be a boon for NCYT. The RNS was more of a publicity stunt I am guessing, and reminding the NHS and everyone else that their tests are just as accurate with this new strain. The probability of the phase 2 trigger has increased further to a point of now being an almost certainty. The company is managing this far to stay ahead of the curve, so well done to them.

Especially when mixed with headlines such as this, looks like NCYT has nowhere to go but up.

Double digit growth is priceless these days. AZN can help Alexion do what they couldnt manage alone plus further their own reach, hugely value accretive for each side. I dont think AZN overpaid at all considering the industry. Gilead paid 21bn for immunomedics, more than double the mcap of 10bn and was fluttering between profit and loss each quarter! Plus immunomedics shares already did 100% throughout 2020. Makes this look a bargain.

Debt is cheap so now is the best time to tap the debt market and use cash for acquisitions. Pascal has a good track record, and the SP over the last 5 years speaks volumes.

I can understand debt nerves, but alexion is a cash machine and debt would melt away fast; some say as little as 3 years. The benefit of the doubt should be given here.

Plus the new issue of shares, which equates give to or take a couple of percent where we are now so not a lot changed.

The acquisition is a clever one. Pascal has transformed this company by his aggressive growth ambitions which is why the SP is where it is today. This deal has just knocked AZN into a higher gear

The acquisition makes a lot of sense. One on this scale will make some twitchy, especially with the added $17.5bn debt. I think the price is not particularly expensive, in fact some were expecting closer to $200 per share. Growth at AZN will be double digits for at least 5 years from now so debt pile should melt away over the years.

Will be very interesting to see how the market reacts on monday.

News on NHS phase 2 is at least a month away. But i agree news like this will increase probability of phase 2 being triggered.

To see this continually drop at all. Its difficult to say where this will land, but this will continue to drift until management can prove that they can deliver and convert this pipeline.

The lack of growth does not command any high multiples here. Sure they have 11.5m cash and virtually no debt, but the use of the ARR to calculate future earnings was straight out of a horror film and gave many serious chills. Why they did that....god only knows.

For LOOP, the cat really is out of the bag now because COVID is a bit of a paradox. It has helped in some ways, and hindered big time in others (non-PS) because of the massively competitive space due to the likes of ZOOM. So we have rapidly decelerating revenue from the defunct Non-PS and a relatively immature PS which needs to rapidly pick up to offset non-PS loss. The risk here is the ability of LOOP to make this flip and the speed that they have to flip has essentially forced their hand. Whether COVID has helped them or just given one last hurrah remains to be seen until they convert this pipeline and then some.

Regarding his job, that is no threat. That is a genuine and legal consequence for attempted stock market manipulation. You have no one else to blame for any repercussions re your job!

It goes much further than that. People on here forget that it is a criminal offense to deliberately use these BBs to spread misinformation for the sole intent of profiteering. If you believe someone on here has broken the law, and you think you know who they are, you should report them! Whilst it is almost impossible to prove criminal intent, I speak from experience that the slightest whiff of foul play from an employee working in a bank (if true) is career threatening and could easily be blacklisted by the FCA! I have seen employees blacklisted for much much less as it is a PR nightmare for the bank. No way would Natwest ignore allegations such as this and would conduct an investigation into allegations like this; 100%.

Next channel resistance c340p. Would be nice to have some sort of fundamental catalyst to break out before it reaches the upper channel.

The graph looks decent after breaking out of the wedge. A SP run up usually follows after a solid break like that.

Still not sure about whether phase 2 will be triggered. Still looks like a binary bet to me
