The rate at which Biden has caught up with trump in GA and PA suggests Biden is wining 75% of Mail ballots in these states. However in AZ, trump is catching up with biden on mail votes....bit of a disconnect there.

Mabye Biden counties are being counted first to keep us all in suspense. Obviously trump is being a sore loser, but winning 75%+ of mail ballots despite trump telling all his voters to vote in person is still unusually high. At the very least, trump lawyers should be able to push through a monitored recount at SCOTUS in these states.

I don't see why the democrats should put up much of a fuss with this request to put this matter to bed.

I am also trading odds on smarkets. The present rate at which Biden is closing the gap is going to make it incredibly close, currently closing in by 3k votes for every 10k counted in GA. Whether this rate can be sustained is unclear as big settlement votes are being drained first, but still think trump can hang on in there by a whisker. It will be extremely close to call though, and don't blame you taking profits from the better odds from earlier as i have done.

AZ is no way safe for biden. There are still pathways for a trump win there as on day ballots need to be counted still. The rate in which biden has caught up with trump in PA will also slow as city votes such a philly have now been spent. NC looks like it will go to trump.

Still far too close to call yet, of course biden has the advantage though. But these key swing states are being won and lost by whiskers.

Sunsurfer, what is the source of your figures. Trump is 15k ahead with 60k votes left. Biden needs about 63% of remaining votes to take Georgia. 70% of the remaining votes are in suburbs of Atlanta and Savannah which Biden has the advantage, the other 30% are in republican areas. But Biden will have to perform very well in Atlanta and Savannah to balance out the 30% republican votes.

This is going to be won or lost by a few hundred to a couple thousand votes, but i think trump will get Georgia by a whisker.

The odds on offer for a marginal trump win were an absolute steal last night at 11/2. I even managed to squeeze 34/5 from betfair after I realised these offer better odds (not really a gambler). Markets would rally on trump and divided on Biden. Under Biden, energy and industrials would tank but tech would remain steady. Under trump, everything would rally as taxes would stay low and at least stability would be restored. Stimulus under Biden would be bigger (if they take control away from republicans) but more terms attached to businesses. Plus the added risk of a democrat locking down the USA would surely impact markets as everyone knows trump would rather die than lock down USA (literally).
