Good news for us if we're looking like we have a greater impact than them?

Very cynical to say that big pharma aren't picking this up because they'd rather see people suffer than invest in a better drug. 1. It isn't a 'cure' yet- but some people are experiencing remission which is amazing, extending quality of life and longevity. 2. Lots of small bio-techs show early promise and then fail. Take a look at N4P's recent experience and share price when phase 1 trials failed for example. This is why big company's take their time and will leave a decision until they are as confident as they can be before they start to risk a competitor taking a product with great potential. They will want to see the full trial results from 401 stage 2 trials.
I think it will get more exciting once we have the 401 results which should be very soon.
I'm not saying you are weird Valju? I'm saying it's a weird thing to do to make a prediction of a £1.00 share price on a penny share and then get very stressed out every day when your prediction don't materialise. It is a bit stressful investing for sure. But we all need to get a grip if we do value our investment- it affects confidence.
Before anyone says no-one looks at these boards before investing- I've had £130K in play over the last 9 months at one time. I do my research widely but I do check out the boards too. Sometimes people share good stuff. And sometimes I get put off by what I read of course.

Valju, it's not going to be the next Apple or Twitter is it? Those companies serve markets which are thankfully much bigger than people with cancer. It's a bit weird to see these kind of fantasies that you engage in and then express your disappointment when they don't materialise.
We're at stage 3 trials for 401. That is still a pre-commercial stage. Everything is pre-commercial. Companies may want to wait until they have as much confirmation about the potential as they can, before they have to move to stave off competition. This share could go to about 30p tops in the next few months realistically. It won't go to £1.00 any time soon so you may as well face up to that one!
And we don't know that this is a 'cure' for cancer. So far it extends the survival rate significantly and improves quality of life for cancer patients.

AdamH90, how has anyone done you wrong? VAL is a small innovative R&D company. They are only now reaching stage 3 trials with VAL 401 and stage 2 with 201.

George said the trial results should be about sometime around the next 7 days. Don't get disappointed because you decided it would be today- in your own head (!) and then told other people on this board! Next 7 days from last Thursday is a bit vague- anytime from now till Monday is my guess.

Missing nearly half the buys. They're completely misrepresenting the volume and buy to sell ratio. I make it about 35K :21K buys to sells.

I don't disagree with anything you say. Rather I agree. The RNS does suggest the possibility of some sort of solution. There's a lot of risk- as there always is with penny shares. The time it takes TYM to respond to challenges starts to make me feel wary about their intent and commitment. I haven't got forever- I need to get a return on my investments within a year ideally- not the ideal circumstances for investing anyway. That said I try to buy long. Again- I wish everyone lots of luck. I hope TYM comes good and if I see any signs of action I may come back.

Sold about 2.5K a couple of minutes ago. Not showing on LSE yet. Down from 10K. Decided it can definitely get worse. TYM don't seem to be in any rush to engage with this challenge or any of the others . Kind of funny that everything they do runs into trouble. I bought on the excitement around the Posseuhl deal. Bad move on my part. Ah well. Win some...

If there's big trades in the background then we should still be able to see this in the log for volumes even if there's a gap between the numbers of buys and sells shouldn't we? There isn't. Anyway we've crept up again since my comment.

I've just listened to this again. He sounds very confident on a partnership- specifically identifying options for either a joint venture or a license for 101 very soon. He said they're talking to two organisations in the US and China on this- feels to me like that is definite for him. On 301 he says they are also looking at re-formulating the compound for an oral version and they want to look at it's application for cancer as well as endometriosis. He has reminded us that they have successfully sold two different spin offs before- I guess that must have been when the sp was so high? If they license out products to a third party to complete will shareholders get the same value as if they did a joint venture all the way to the trial conclusions and commercialisation?
On 401 I suspect he has had multiple expressions of interest and that they are all waiting for the trial results for phase 2- confirmation of great results reduces the risk for backing phase 3 for an investor. George says they are great. After that it will get more tricky for interested parties to continue to prevaricate. Of course anyone would want to wait till the risk is reduced before they commit to major investment- they want to be sure that the good results keep on coming. It will get to the point where they won't want to lose out to a competitor once they see excellent trial results for phase 2 I'd have thought. Good that he's keeping his options open. He says they only need about £20 million for phase 3 trials. I hope they go in with a longer term ask. I'm sure they will.

in the next week or so according to the interview with George Morris. Sounds as if he is confident that one of several mid sized and large pharmas are going to back us for phase 3, 401 trials. That seems quite close too if he's going to the US, China and Australia in the next few weeks. Though there's also interest from India and Europe. Blimey.
Now he's also saying we should expect news of a jv or license deal for Gene Ice by this Autumn and external funding for 201 within the next 9 months-still recruiting for trials. I think they will get DoH support from the UK to crack on with 201 though in the meantime- we still haven't had government confirmation of where that £75K for prostate cancer is going to- it's got to include us- VAL had backing from UK Cancer Research to develop 201 this far- we're so on the radar.
Finally he says they have interest for investment in 301 too. Phew! Come on VAL!
