Being walked down on very thin volume - wouldn't surprise me if this closes over £4 again later after the treeshake.

Nice to see a close today above £4 - that should act as support now and would like to see this push on towards £4.30 now

At least we all agree this is likely to get bought out in the next 12 to 24 months ...

I couldn't resist the sub £4 price and added 1200 more about 20 minutes ago.

It reminds me of another Buffet saying :

This is so so so cheap that Royal London turn down £22m (in used fivers) to lock them into a Capita investment that doesn't vest for 5 years ....

That says it all for me (and I'm on the cusp of adding more as a result). ..

The irony is - this is almost certainly NOT going to be trading in 5 years time in it's current form as a PE takeover must surely beckon in the next year or two ....

At north of £10 a share btw .... turning the £22m Royal London investment into £55m...

No wonder they took the stock option!

@aim - I'm in - and feel confident we will see a minimum of £4.30 by the end of the week.

I understand that - historically - Capita has promised to deliver and the SP has risen accordingly only to quickly fall back again ....

BUT ....

I'd be astonished if that happens this time with a monster deal in the offing with Royal London AND a stonking £16bn sales pipeline.

We used to be impressed when the pipeline was £5bn - but with £16bn - even if we only win 15% of that opportunity the company doubles in booked revenue and we also know that all this opportunity will be profitable business.

To me - a £16bn pipeline alone would support a £5+ valuation

@trisor - I think the £278k purchase at 16:29 is much more interesting as someone - somewhere - thinks this won't be under £4 when the opening dust settles on Monday morning.

For me - if we visit the £3.80s again then i am definitely adding more - but with the Royal London deal hanging over us next week - I doubt we will get that low ...

It might even be worth taking a few in the £3.90s given we look nailed on to finish 2025 at well over £4 ..... In fact I've got fingers crossed for £5 (but maybe I'm getting carried away with myself)

@marcus - to be fair to @aim (although I don't know why I bother given all the nonsense posted by @aim & cabbage) - according to LSE - the uncrossing trade is shown at £3.92.

Aim correctly called £3.92 close when we were rising towards £4.10 quite early in the day and that was a good call BUT ...

Investing in Capita has always been a long term (investors) war rather than simply a day (traders) battle ..

Had I reckon that if @aim and many many many others here had simply bought and HELD their Capita shares from 13p (old money) - they would have made more money (as of today) than they have made from all the ducking and diving and buying and selling .

It's TIME IN THE MARKET not TIMING THE MARKET that ultimately gives spectacular gains rather than beer money!

I've been patient and am nearly £200,000 up here now .... but that's still not enough for me.... And Staverly must be up millions and he's not selling either .....

Suggesting that LTHs should have played the 5% swing yesterday is the difference between the way the beer money traders approach things versus the long term investors.

Just saying ....

If Royal London take the stock options in the next few days then I would expect this to totally fly - what better confidence than taking a near 4% stake in the company and prepared to hold for 5 years (or until takeover)

If I wasn't already holding so many here I think I'd definitely be adding more ahead of the Royal London decision

You really do talk rubbish sometimes Cabbage. Sameer was enticed (out of Amazon and into Capita) with a huge wheelbarrow full of stock options.

Adolfo was so keen to get Sameer he put together a monster package to get Sameer to start at Capita almost immediately.

Adolfo could see that he needed Sameer's expertise to create all the generative AI product stacks which have now launched and underpin the Capita cost efficiencies and increased contract margins.

Right - that's the pullback done - now time to start the push through £4 I think

That short looking very dodgy @aim - you might be wise to cover your losses by going long from here imho 😀

@marcus - well @aim and cabbage are certainly much quieter now than they've been in over a year!

I'm thrilled this is performing so well but am also realistic that it's due a breather before (hopefully) breaking higher.

It wouldn't surprise me to see this retrace back into the £3.80s or even £3.70s as we have risen so so quickly ... but the chart still looks rock solid and - all things being OK - I would expect to see at least £4.30 before year end ...

The way it's going - we might get £4.30 next week 😀

@aim - I hope you aren't still short?

@aim - I hope you've closed that short as I did suggest this might move quickly through the £3.60s and £3.70s and it's quite possible we will slice through £3.80 now and get to £4 before the trading update ...

I'd that happens then it should clear the path to £4.30 / £4.50 by year end .... and you wouldn't want to be short of that happens!

@Marcus - too many people in the City have lost too much money buying Capita shares over the years in the belief that the turnaround was complete - only to find it wasn't complete!

As Richard Staverly said - there will be a time when everyone will want to own Capita shares - and that time is when it's is PROVEN that the turnaround is working...

That proof must surely come in the trading update and confirmed in the results though 2026.

Lots to look forward to over the next 12 months!

@Trisor - I'm a terrible trader and always get it wrong so I'm not selling at this level either. A poor trading update might set us back, an AI bubble bursting might set us back, but a positive trading update should mean we leap forward.

I've been holding since May 2020 and it's been tortuous and although I could bank a £135k profit - right now - on my 106525 holding .... That's not enough (call me greedy) ...

I'm waiting for at least £7.50 - which is where we were in August 2021 when the company was heading for the scrap heap.

So - I'm very long and I'm being very greedy and I'm ignoring those who are being fearful around me (to sort of quote Buffett).

If I'm wrong - I'm still waiting for £7.50 😀😀

@aim - the chart says you are definitely on the wrong side of the trade and at the moment the share price confirms the chart.

This could move the £3.60s and £3.70s very quickly now

Trading seems to be quiet today too although the SP seems to want to rise towards that illusive £3.80 mark ...

It doesn't make sense to be shorting CPI right now and I see our resident shorters (aim and cabbage) are very quiet at the moment!

@all Big week this week as we really need to push through the £3.60s and sit around £3.80s in time for the trading update.

Really heartened to see Capita engaging with Microsoft on the CSPS as we know we have strong ties to Amazon but it's important to partner with MS too as I think they also have strong reach into UK Government .

I'm still sat quietly holding and expecting big things between now and New Years Eve.

I've waited 5.5 years and, at one point, I was £120k under water and fortune favours the brave - I've been brave now I'm waiting for the fortune!

FCF and a contract win and a closed life and pension business is all I want for Xmas! :)

@everyone - we've all waited too long here to sell out early! There is every possibility that the cost cutting program will be extended further as AI implementation with Capita drives down costs.

FCF must be on target and the closure of the life and pension business will finally confirm the turn around is complete.

With that sort of news - you've got to be thinking that £7.50 is readily achievable again and if this was ever to be taken out (which is highly probable after turn around) - we've got to be looking at £10 plus a share ...

So not too many reasons to be selling at £3.60 imho
