The market is crying out for this gas, so much so that there is a favourable fiscal policy and infrastructure capacity with great terms available to meet the pent up market demand. Oops “This was the best possible result” PB. Lol!

It’s not even got going yet. Look at the volume for Dec and January is already the 2nd highest month as of yesterday and yet as a % of MCAP there has been a relatively small percentage changed. It will need to go much higher to tempt sellers as peeps are waiting for the cascadura results and even then they won’t be able to test the full pay zone. Market has coho results in price but still nothing for cascadura which could again double our production. Astonishing really. DYOR.

Everything hinges on cascadura results. coho should be on line by July, not much infrastructure required. Coho and other wells can be used to fund next drill at Royston plus perhaps one other. Cascadura is key as that could give options of farm in, rbl or even a take out which after cascadura even at 50p would probably be a discount to nav. I think the plan is for now to prove up and bank cash from coho which should be double our current revenues and less tax. If they went for everything at once sure they’d need to raise but there are so many options even asset swaps. I don’t even think PB knows what lies ahead but for now it’s a buy on the run up to Casca. I am amazed at the disconnect between nav and MCAP which is why I think buying sub 25p will give a reasonable cushion after cascadura. But then nothing is sure on aim. DYOR.

While its capacity is nominally 14.8 million tonnes (19.7 billion cubic metres), exports only hit 15 billion cubic metres in 2018. The fact that BP has now raised serious questions about the future viability of the Atlantic plant because of its unreliable supply of LNG is a concern to everyone in the industry. This however represents a significant opportunity for newer suppliers and smaller producers to take a strong position in the marketplace.
Looking ahead
The fact that two pretty significant discoveries have come from Touchstone’s latest explorations in Coho and Cascadura represents good news for current shareholders. The wider issues in the LNG sector in Trinidad and Tobago could also contribute to a very positive 2020 as well. In terms of pricing, the shares are holding steady at 22p but there appears to be a significant amount of upside here, and my conservative target would be 30p over the next six months.
With Touchstone fully funded from its operations as Paul Baay confirmed to ValueTheMarkets earlier this month, there is no need to raise additional capital or dilute existing shareholdings. Touchstone Exploration
An update this morning from Touchstone with regard to its Cascadura-1ST1 well on the Ortoire block onshore Trinidad. This is the initial testing of a recently announced oil discovery and has found, on further testing, significant oil and gas volumes and the well has been suspended due to high pressure. Accordingly the well has been shut-in awaiting new kit.

President and CEO Paul Baay has said that ‘this is the best possible outcome’ under the Trinidad fiscal regime and whilst I hate to see things justified for tax reasons it may be the case. Having said that I havent spoken to the company so can’t call whether it is a let down from the oil discovery or a better overall hydrocarbon find, time will tell.

What the broker says
Analysts at Touchstone’s house broker Shore Capital said the production rate achieved by the firm at the Coho-1 well was “genuinely superb” and that they “anticipated early commercialisation of the discovery in the first half of next year”.

The broker expects a “significant production impact” from the Coho-1 result as well as a “meaningful upgrade” to its net asset value estimates for the firm, which currently stands at 35p per share.

Ok so TSX was up Friday as someone had wind of this news but I just don’t get the muted SP response here. I mean the market is as understated as Paul! Aren’t we going to see coho 1 on line in June /July? Is that not together with existing production going to fund 2 more prospects in Ortoire? Not to mention the mister at ST1 that blew the doors off!

I mean wtf you gotta do on AIM to get recognition.
