Hi nom,
Can only go by what the geo, regs and company claim….
“ The Ampasindava Project represents a new generation of very low impact, fully rehabilitated extractive projects that will leave a minimal environmental footprint during operations and zero residual impact, whilst producing significant quantities of vital ‘green’ minerals for the renewable energy sector.
The project mineralisation is hosted within a few metres of the surface and the nett volume removed for processing is small. The planned extractive methodology does not incorporate in-situ leaching and additionally the ores do not contain radioactive material.
Residual extracted material will be washed and returned to the extractive area, to be subsequently covered with previously stockpiled topsoil. Seed farms are maintained for re-vegetation purposes. ”

I also hold SVML. They recently completed a prototype mine with 28 leaders from the community and crop yields improved 5 fold…
“ The successful rehabilitation trials address a key component of Kasiya's development pathway, demonstrating that post-mining land can achieve superior agricultural productivity compared to pre-mining conditions. With maize yields of 5.2 tonnes per hectare versus the regional average of 1 tonne per hectare, the trials validate Sovereign's progressive mining, back-filling and rehabilitation approach that will be integrated into the DFS.”
Not all mining ops are bad - China aside it seems! I try to account for sustainability when investing.
Madagascar obviously has its third would issues but as long as the companies follow western standards regards corruption and environment it’s best one can hope for from so far away!
