If you wanna hold sell a % and buy back cheaper. I always trade down in those sits.

I made a mint at Dec selling stock buying cheaper and throwing off cash on the way down then bought a bigger position near the bottom.

DEC now well back up and I have more shares and a v low average and a +10% yield after US taxes!

Or you can grab a few hex below 20p as it’s gonna pop soon. But it’s a minnow albeit funded.

Lots of ways to play it but looking at a falling stock price unless you got years ahead and it’s a small position is not always the best play.

TIG I tipped here at 100p and also at 120p. Now 195p. Chart looking v toppy I’d be taking my stake out now and leaving a free carry.

Watch ROAD I bought at 8 sold at tad over 10p. If it comes back to single figs May have another small bet. Don’t go too deep as had to split stock to sell last time.

Housebuilders continue rise but still got lots of legs. I have been watching WiNK (estate agent franchises) from 170 as an income play. Sales should be picking up there. Not been able to get in yet.

Like the minnows DKE smelling of RTO rumours. Sell before the news though. Could be a suspension before news. Legs still though!

Shirks sold his option shares 34500. He hold over 960000 shares. Not concerned by that sell. Probably making up for tax elsewhere

Agree Mick some underperforming insurers where you can bag high yield should be in for a good run with a dovish ECB.

LIO I have had in my sights since 700p breakout. Just can’t do it all. It’s also the riskier of bets but look at the 5 year chart. When it moves it can be a traders dream with good liquidity as well!

I keep saying you don’t need to back the minnows in this game albeit if you get one right it can be transformational but backing bigger companies can also clock up especially with divi’s.

For those that don’t get the financials here esp around hedging and ABS amortisation. Albeit I think that view has been pushed by certain posters with another agenda as the company have set it out clearly and consistently in all their ppts. But anyway if think these money folk get it…

I never used to think that you could blame one person for such a calamitous fk up as Brexit, cronyism, hubris and out right snobbery that is rife in the Tory party, and then along came Borris!

He had the biggest opportunities of all; a landslide victory, the ‘north behind him’, covid, war, Brexit and even a generally supportive British public.

All the things in one go that could lead a pm to greatness!

And yet he managed to completely fk up everything he touched ultimately destroying the Tory party.

He pssd it up created his own rules and lied through his teeth.

He could have taken the nhs with him, our services, border forces and led meaningful change capitalising on Brexit, even though I don’t agree with it, but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t have been done better.

Now look at what the consequences are. A load of single issue activists, an emergent left, a leader with zero charisma and union barrons rubbing their hands thinking they are the ones that will be in power! The country will now be run by a bunch of woke social workers!

Why can’t we just have a party of common sense!

I have voted for all the mainstream parties at least twice each now. This must be the first time I think I CBA’d but will always turn up even to spoil my ballot paper. Unless we have a monster raving looney candidate that is. At least they don’t pretend to be something they are not!

Yes thanks, I even bought some in the 80p range as well! Unfortunately sold quite a few when the went to 150 but bought some back on the pull back. My average is now 138 after adding more when I posted here; well pleased!

Mainly because it’s a quarterly divi payer and that divi is set to rocket with the acquisition and I have a nice cushion and income so will be able to just switch off to it.

SEPL is now my largest holding which I don’t mind as Nigerian gas/oil should be ok even in uncertain times.

Great to have moves like that on larger income positions. Esp sepl which will very likely increase payouts after the divestment.

All I can assume is that because they indicate legal sign off around August the current news is not a material change from what the market has been told.

Thats a guess but it tallies with the sp rising, then the deal will be announced and the sp will likely drop! As per typical pattern!

Also note the graph at the bottom showing institutional buying in 1Q24 taking the net inflows to $129m over 1Q + 4Q.

Obviously it won’t be as simple as that but it does show a change in sentiment that is reflected in the SP.

Institutional buyers invest on their own metrics including outlook and geography amongst many other things.

What they tend not to do is not buy a stock because it’s been rising.

Those observers from the sidelines tend to be retail investors who think ‘oh it’s had a good run, it’ll come back to 10!’ And subsequently miss out or buy at the very top.

Been saying for ages this is heading for £15!

US crude stockpiles data due later today. Obviously we are mostly gas but there’s a bit of a read across

But yes could be a short closing. Often it can be as simple as they have had one winner so they bail out of a loser to net out.

Some like GLG have had some big hits recently, they were in KNOS (results) and KWS(takeover). Also been other M&A which don’t bode well for shorts!

If they sense that there is no return to the lows here they’ll likely quite and play one off against another to save on divi payments.

Shorts don’t always win and let’s face it they have really fkd up here as all bar one is red! lol!

Cracking news not officially released yet over at SEPL today regarding the Exxon divestment.

US and Nigerian divi paying O&G quality companies is a pretty shrewd place to be in times of uncertainty. Especially with rates set to come down!

Both plays up significantly now and only just getting going imo!

Pretty powerful when chart and news align. Especially when news could take it through 300p!

That’s a nice cushion to hold here from and a well covered divi that is set to increase!

Also Nigeria is high growth economy and pretty much geopolitically everyone’s friend, east and west which makes it a relatively safer juro to park a lump of cash especially being gas and oil!

Peeps will soon cotton on but I am gonna stick with this one now.

No matter how they arrived at these figures cos they don’t make any sense, surprise! Perhaps shthouse counted them!

Even on their own numbers 15.4% voted for the CEO to be ousted! That is a serious kick in the gonads!

As you can tell from the subsequent CEO shareholder engagement. The live meetme, the updated corporate PowerPoint explaining their strategy, the proactive interviews and the revamped website from the crock of sht it currently is TB is serious about making amends!

Shareholders should do some serious research before giving their hard earned to this guy!
