I agree Beverley, are we now able to claim it as a loss on a tax return though? Never done it before as all of my other investments are in an ISA, but not this, what would I need to prove it?

If Tidal Stream is definitely determined to be an area that GBE identifies for investment, then with Meygen, AMP is the company that is the most advanced. So in theory should be top of the list for investment.

I think that it's a case of whenever it arrives, I did some research about a week ago trying to find the same, but couldn't find anything concrete.

On a separate note, I've been thinking about a few days ago when the spread went bizarrely wide, prior to the SP rising. I wonder if the wide spread gave us greater visibility on the risers board and brought new people in? Would this be intentional by the MMs? Or am I adding 2 and 2 to get 5?

I am still conflicted about whether to get more, I swing between 'I have enough and want to keep some divestment in my portfolio' to 'these other stocks are not going to do as well, sell them and put the money into AMP'.

But then it's better to have something in, rather than nothing.

Yes it is nice to see Kam, I agree with Herman though that it could be the reason for Friday's rise perhaps? Cynically, as it's AIM this bit of good news seems to be pushing the SP down, but that is probably just natural fluctuation and it's only a small sells, doesn't concern me with my long term outlook.

I'm pretty sure that when it has been mentioned in Parliament previously it hasn't done a great deal to the share price, but better that not hearing anything at all.

If and when we get more concrete information from GBE regarding supporting tidal stream (especially if AMP is named directly) that should in theory have a more pronounced effect on the SP.

Thank you OT, so at £1 Billion enterprise value, in simplistic terms (ignoring dilution, electricity price fluctuations, etc...), if everything comes to fruition, eventually the share price should be around £1.37 right?

I've been looking deeper into BESS with the help of ChatGPT, one thing that concerns me a little is market saturation, although this is more for shorter duration storage of 1 - 2 hours. 2 - 4+ hours seems safer from the effects, AW2 is 5 hours I think that I saw somewhere? The presentation says that they modelled 2 hours to get their figures.

I would have liked to, but it's a long way and can't tie it in with anything else that way on.

Just checked now and I see the same, with Live pricing off the SP is 0.0275 GBP, hence the 30.95%. It also affects the other shares in my portfolio turning the live pricing on and off.

Hi Super7, it looks normal on my AJ Bell page, I recall that occasionally there have been strange things such as this, but not often.

Contact the team there, they are usually fairly quick to respond and helpful.

I understand Mr. T, I've been seriously considering selling some other stocks that I don't think are going to do much and buying more AMP. But that will leave me less divested, which raises anxiety a bit. Even though this is very de-risked, we're still not 100% over the line yet.
