Yes it's a decent update, I've seen other companies sell assets to fund potentially more lucrative avenues and it has worked out, time will tell though.

Always a positive sign, no effect on the SP, bad wider market sentiment atm unfortunately driving it down.

The 4 large trades of a million shares each are a bit odd, on first glance they look like sells, however there will be 0 profit, so I guess they are buys with a discounted price due to the volume? Or someone cutting their losses and getting out whilst they can, hopefully the former.

It seems to have been tracking down already the past few days. Given that it's at a large premium above NAV I'm tempted to take my profits. But sods law would be that it takes off again afterwards, probably around the SpaceX IPO.

The explosion is a Bezos Blue Origin rocket, do any of the SSIT holdings use them? Ofc just the fact that 'a rocket' blew up would make people jittery doesn't surprise me.

Hi Russ, in my experience the markets are driven by sentiment mostly, logic often does not factor and things can seem counterintuitive.

MMs will do their utmost to wring every bit of cash out of us PIs.

Currently up 52% this morning as I type, I am a LTH in IES and still underwater significantly, I could have averaged down, but whatever free cash I've had I've put into AMP.

The reason for the rise is that on top of some recent progress (completing delivery of the largest vanadium flow battery in Europe, 20.7 MWh at an Energy Hub in East Suusex, UK), they have been selected to design a GWh-scale VFB system in Switzerland.

Given the competition in shorter duration storage that AMP is up against, would it be prudent for them to add some long duration VFB storage into the mix? Happy to hear from any of you that are more knowledgeable about BESS.

Last year when IES was brought up by some other LTHs here that are also invested in IES, I did email both companies to suggest that they look at what the other is doing, I didn't expect responses and didn't get any, it was more to put both companies on their respective radars, if they weren't already of course, which I suspect that they probably were. If I had been able to make the investor day at Uskmouth it's something that I would have asked in person, although I imagine that even if they were planning a collaboration then they wouldn't be able to say much.

I feel the same Mr. T, but perhaps they need the cash and can't wait anymore, or a stop loss has been triggered or transferring shares into an ISA from a regular taxable dealing account.

In another stock that I'm invested in, a similar thing is happening, although it's at a historic low, so there is no way any profit is being made (not counting shorts, but it's pretty small and not on the radar, so I doubt it) and I asked the same question, one of the helpful LTH's suggested 'The other aspect which may be skewing your view of 'sells' is the perennial issue of the arbitrary algorithm which shows anything at less than the mid point of the spread as a sell, and greater than as a buy, irrespective of what it might have been in reality.' The spread here in AMP is much larger than the other stock, so maybe what they suggested is even more the case here?

Thank you @Oldfortyniner , yes it is probably that. The other possibility that I thought of was perhaps Stop Losses triggering, but what you say seems more likely to me.

No one can be making money selling at these prices, is it getting what's left of their money out or transferring shares from a regular account into an ISA? (Rhetorical question)

It's an AMP thing, I sometimes see strange prices on my platform AJ Bell for AMP, someone else who is also on AJ Bell posted about it maybe a couple of months ago.
