I don’t believe in passports. Test when needed. Large scale, hunting the virus, safe access. Cost is a little higher but getting people to have an “ID” is not always easy. Can imagine there would be someone suing due to demand for passport with days, and the orange baby stoking the fires. If it’s a few dollars pay up each time, don’t charge tax on it. Needs a cheap, hassle free, easy to use device. Now there is something worth investing in....

A “you are infected” has been possible for a while but as most stuff non lethal no funding as benefit marginal.

But a wider diagnostic tool like you describe... like Star Trek. Bio markers at different levels for different illnesses giving early identification, quicker treatment and lower cost.

Lol. It was more of a question. Why would you need specific? If you get a “you got something” then you take a 10 min spit test to see of its covid. Maybe if you got the flu you should still go home. But on a flight.... maybe wear a mask.

Reading up on plasma as a treatment, one issue is antibody levels differ from donor to donor. It is difficult to measure how much antibody is in a collection.

Could affimers be used to test for presence of antibody and if so would it be quantitative ie how much. Similar to antigen is poo.

You could see companies working together to bring high quality plasma to treatment eg CSL, Avacta and skin.

Have affimers been used to identify antibodies ?

Would be a massive show for a president who want to come over as “solving the issues”. Unlike other tests it would be hard to fault Avacta test if it lives up to expectations. Everybody would be on board.

Kinda just realized that Avacta test is going to change how we as society treat the situation. Up to now it’s been defensive and reactive.

With Avacta test combined with area monitoring that can change. Much more proactive, attacking the infection, looking to eliminate it.

Means those in charge need to change mind set. We don’t need to accept statements like “it will always be with us”.

Eradicate the bloody thing.
