RE: "30,000,000 tests a week"6 Oct 2020 16:58
I think we will sell every test we can make for the next 6 months.
figures for a year, I think miss the point that in a year if we are still testing everyone, then something is really wrong.
but a budget of 14 billion hell yeah, it's peanuts. So let's agree we will make 14B from UK government. How we get there, ahhh its guesswork.
but I don't think we will test every UK citizen every 14 days, it's pointless.
So agree with ya about test like hell to start. Short sharp shock, but time is ticking, winter is coming. I really don't want to see mechanical diggers making graves ever again. Authorities will be is fire fight mode, may not make good choices.
water testing available now, just not with skin. manual collection etc.
Numbers are massive, just not sure that how we get there has assumptions that are on the ball.
Bigger money is outside UK, I agree. This board very UK focused. US would spend in a day what UK spends in a week. Germany, Italy, France would all spend more. I think they will grab this as soon as any test numbers are available, and production is ready, don't need UK to prove it. So working out revenue estimate, I would say forget Boris and co. Look at the world market, starting from first production run (December 2020?). Wouldn't be surprised to see production news is the next few months where countries secure own production. 6 month world supply verses 12 months UK...... why would we only use UK estimates ?
