I posted last week about my concerns that the influential oncologists on both sides of the pond may be influenced by big pharma endowing their research facilities at universities with shed loads of cash and big pharma not being happy with Avacta kicking the legs out from under current lucrative treatments and those to come from research they have already invested millions in (eg gene editing). And I got a shed load of abuse from those who have not observed first hand how large multinationals can influence things if it suits them.

I don’t have concerns. The Q&A is the clearest communication that we have had in the past 5 years.

I have been happily holding a sizeable chunk of my portfolio in Avacta though haven’t added since last July. I will increase my investment in my other shares but won’t sell any Avacta and wait for the 2week dosing trial results. Al has answered any questions I had.

I’m even more pleased for you because you must have a really low average purchase price.

I’m just saying that if topping up at 120 a couple of weeks ago has left someone “all in” then if an offer happens at 100 they wouldn’t have made the smartest move. But conversely if the SP gets boosted to say 200 before an offer at 180 then in retrospect they will have made a good decision and I’ll be envious.

We are at a tricky stage depending on when it happens. If at 120 say you will have been right, but if at 100 then I will have been.

The concern and abuse from some regarding a dilutive raise is possibly because they are all in already and don’t have the cash to be able to take part?

Thank you I know you mean well. I’m not going to fall into the trap of posting my CV on here. But I’m not talking about dodgy deals down the pub. I’ve worked for or with the top consultancies in Europe and North America and four of the largest technology companies as well as government agencies and universities to name just a few. So please don’t patronise me.

Anyhow I’ll stop flogging this particular dead horse now.
