The problem for Oilex is not so much that there is no news, lots of companies haven't posted an RNS this week. The problem is that they have given the impression that news was coming by now and it hasn't. Best to say nil and surprise the market rather than lead us up the garden path. Approval from GoI was 9 months later than trailed with the inevitable grind down in SP. Now we are there again......

You've had a few of those gut feelings; 1p incoming being a favourite of mine. I'll trust my head rather than my gut. No news until April.

I don't mind waiting a few weeks but as I said last week, when an AIM company, not least Oilex, says something will happen in Q1 it either means 31st March or sometime in Q2 or 3.

The chart, which I had previously looked at, simply shows that on 10th Feb we were at .26 and now we are at .2. Cups, handles, corners turned don't enter into it. I know you have a penchant for a degree of exuberant optimism but as Bagel said, forget the charts and wait for news. I am not a 'deramper' albeit I am a sceptic at the best of times, simply a long term holder who will believe that we are heading places when I read an RNS telling me so and see the share price react accordingly.

We haven't started moving towards that level at all. I don't need to dmor, I just need to look at the chart for the last two weeks. By all means have a positive view but the chart is available for everyone to see and it isn't trending upwards. Where are you looking that I can't see?

What corner? We were at .26 a couple weeks ago and now we are treading water. Charts are meaningless for Oilex, it's all about fracking results nothing more nothing less. Until then little will change.

I'm a little concerned that the hedge cleared "in the first 2 weeks of February". Given that only 110 tonnes were left at the end of Jan, it should have cleared in 6 or 7 days. Maybe reading too much into this but preparing to be underwhelmed.

Reminds me of another share I own. Slow to update on core operation (copper) but quick to update on peripheral issues. Let's get refrac done, soon, because without a successful outcome everything else is irrelevant.

My wait has been just the 12 months, not as long as many, but it has been riddled with missed deadlines and false hope. Assuming refrac happens and provides good news, where will SP be on June 30th?

It would be a lot easier to understand the concept if the process was explained. I haven't worked in India but I worked in Bosnia for ten years and creating pointless work in order to find jobs for friends or relatives was a national pastime guaranteed to put off many investors from bothering at all.

Not sure about the phrasing there Oilman. When an application is 'processed', as in your example for a passport, the possibility of its being rejected remains. What exactly is the role of this mysterious MOEFCC and if they are not signing anything off or giving a go-ahead, what exactly is their point?

Given the sell off today, not dropping is akin to going up. I'm not convinced that the price of oil and gas makes much difference until you produce either. When Oilex does, we should see the benefit quite quickly and, hopefully, significantly.
