Hello LTI.. Assuming many people who we know wanted to place a message, or didn't, I placed one appertaining to Iran to which I received the answer I wanted. My subsequent messages, and I will always have more, I thought could be adequately answered by our new guest speaker YellowJersey. As others I am not satisfied with current progress but it is a hard world, especially Smart. I am sure JC will make more use of CC website in coming months to advise us on progress of Q3 and Q4.

Heathers debate was probably done in last 6 months but I suspect not recently.
There must have been a change of fortune from Trump new comments or India's attitude to foreign currency.
India is a reliable source of banking and would be a good holding country until approval from Reserve Bank after all most of our business is going to go through India.

JC and Heather indicated a good return in Q3 and Q4. That being the case the Ask price should rise Aug Sept Oct.
Greengrass, dont do a Colour. As capital gets eaten into SP will fall, it is now for JC to get a visual on CC changing fortunes on the company site. I got caught out with the 500k SMETS2 meter disclosure but we now need to see how these numbers are being eroded towards positive number.
I am still hearing that technicians are installing RF Hats if other one fails, but may be not all Utilities are doing the same.
Someone will enlighten on this next question, we are being told that we have to have 4 meters linking up. I am sure we were not told that before, so these 4 meters link up and one must transmit the collected signals further. So anyone of them can transit the signal so why do they need 4 if may be only one or two are required in a road.
Question 2, as you do, we now have this Turnkey System of registering New Connections in India etc, does this system apply to SMETS2 or do we rely on Toshiba/Utilities to provide that information and how reliable is that flow considering it is not in their interest to rush this information to CC. May be one for YellowJersey.

Now now Greengrass.. You may have struck lucky before but it could be just the bids that are going to drop.
If half of what JC said comes to pass the Asks will hold up and rise.

Hello tony.s.. I agree, nothing dramatic but it was primarily to give investors a chance to put questions that could give them a bit more enlightenment. My question which was read out was inquiring about long term position regarding Iran. I wanted to know if we were totally out or if it was the political position. I believe that Iran, with its also supplying to neighbouring countries, is a gold mine for updating. I wonder how other EU countries deal with the money flow after all they were fighting Trump sanctions.
As a Conference Call it went fairly well. After all it was a reinforcing talk on an informal basis. Smart is a long-winded roll out with politics and upgrades and pricing interfering. Unless there is some new drama I think we are now at the turning point, 2 years further down the line than I expected but it feels like we are arriving in the next two quarters.

Looking at recent events my thinking is now that failure in Iran is not the fault of CC's business acumen.
When we went in, good tactics, we were first off the mark. USA had just taken off its sanctions.
The coming reimposing of sanctions could not be foreseen.
LTT re Gridstream, there have been many occasions when CC has not disclosed who they are working with/for.
White Label for instance is anonymous, BI has chosen to feature us.
Almost never is CC mentioned when features or highlights come up in the press.

Thanks for that EnergyChap.. that leads to why L+T, Genus etc have embedded CC into their meters. These are the leading meter manufacturers in India and then we have BI built in CC soon to start production.
Deals have obviously been done and it remains to be seen if all of their Smarts have CC or just a few. However these companies see value in this procedure.

Thanks for that EnergyChap.. Over the years CC has been involved in different projects but I only once ever remember them being specifically mentioned. Lets face it CC is basically an add on.
Most of the big companies were having problems with notspots and with getting various platforms to cross communicate. CC according to JC has solved that problem.
The trouble with companies having their own comms is that they must fulfill every requirement otherwise they cant sell the meter. As I understand it Omni can communicate with LoRA, NB-IoT etc so there is an advantage in hiring a particular peice of software to solve a problem which would take time and money to overcome.
I presume America has overcome the problem of Smart meters causing house fires.

Hello EnergyChap. things are not always as cut and dry as may seem. CC was involved with L+G and E.On. E..On. in Sweden, L+G in Finland.
Do we know for certain that CC is not involved in Gridstream considering that apart from leasing's and Mysore type contracts we are also 'White Label' so anybody can buy it and pass it as their own.
I think JC should also explain further why we are out of Iran. They need to rejuvenate their power supply and to the surrounding countries they supply. As CC provide a well priced service is it that; System is not good enough, Leader who JC was supposed to meet has gone off of us, we have been threatened by external sources.

ITT, I may have missed this item but you saying that CC have received no payments for work done in Iran.

Thanks again for that B.B.. I was talking to someone in another arena yesterday and I think point that you made and transferred by me was taken on board. The Utilities only want to make one stop on an install.

No ITT, I don't think it is anything like that, I think it is Market manipulating into a take-over position if and when desired, not to our advantage and much more serious at rock bottom prices. Everything has a value as we found with Connode.
Regarding Brokers Forecasts, others may be able to help you there. I mainly look at charts (not viable) and company returns. Watch out for somebody coming in at 50p which will be snapped up and still a bargain. It's the product they want not the company, that's how we got it.

ITT, correct me if I am wrong on this but wasn't JC welcoming pre-paid meters and wasn't this move already well known.

Thanks for that B.B.. I have been on this board for a long time. I could not see why the Government did not just go for RF from the outset but that is wheeler dealing and the promises that went with SMETS1. Initially I was under the impression that if SIMs did not work RF took over but further reading took me to SIM>then aerial> then RF. So unless you are running a Canopy System of solely CC RF then you need these SUK2 links but only if you need a resilient link which with UK domestic meters is not vital. I take it that is why when installers are making a connection with RF and at time of testing it is ok they are happy and customer satisfied.
Some Utilities are probably using the 4 requirement as an excuse for delaying those RF connections.
Am I reading this right.

Bear with me on this. JC said to me that DCC would not be using DCU's. My assumption was that CC RF installations would search out a nearby active SIM connection and piggy-back. We are now told that we need four RF connections. So what if in a road only one requires RF. Bearing in mind Utilities are now required to process on a first come first served basis.
Right back to these 4. They all link up but then what happens to these 4 combined signals how does it leave this group as there are now no DCU's. This is all pretty basic to you but is a building block for me.
My contact (on the ground,LOL) says that both Hats are carried in the vans and when they fall back to RF it works, so is this just luck if no other RF's are around. This is a learning curve.

As a friend of mine, at times of stress would say 'what can I say'.
With BI I was expecting to hear that production will be underway in August not just H2.
UK I thought CC RF was now capable of connecting to first SIM available not needing 4.
Why not use DCU's... Confused with SMETS2 RF. One statement saying embedded in 24m,
which I was hoping for, the next saying in Dual Hat which we know.
More money should have been coming in this year so no further calls,
now there is doubt about collecting monies.
I would say JC is now in a delicate position of balancing the books.
Which he will probably do.

Hello EC. Perhaps it is time for a break. You indirectly down CC. I am not aware of you praising it, you may have done but not financially. So why are you on here. To me you skillfully do, with not exactly facts, what others would like to do.
I take it that you see no future in the BI deal as you infer that China has its own RF system.
Have to wait and see what JC has to offer in next few days and hopefully you will return with an upside for CC.

Hello jake.. Just hearsay but I heard the order was cancelled and placed elsewhere. Perhaps you know the size of their meters. I used to have old large meters just about fitting into the space but slowly they have been miniaturised.
As I said nothing to do with electronics.
LTT.. I would generally agree but EC comes out with a long essay saying CC is done for, a bit like somebody else we know.
He then tries to distance himself from rubbishing CC.
Hopefully JC will produce some good figures, you can only hope.
