There are times you have to sell shares, not because they are poor shares, but because it makes good tax sense. Also divorce and death, house purchases or business purchases.
I agree ALM is a bit of a gamble because we can't see the shop at work and customers coming in and out the door or the trends. It's all faith in the people, thier judgement & quite a short track record. I am limiting my investment to 5% of PF. I would like to do more but the core of my capital must be in tangible assets as it is our pension pot.
