Just remember that if they choose to go against the planning officers recommendation they need to specify policies that it breaches. Some of the grumbles :"it's a bribe... " How do you convert that into a valid reason to refuse? Independents dont have to answer for thier errors

I have been to 3 planning inquiries now. Each of the concerns so far have been mitigated/dismissed They have paused to discuss whether they can even discuss alternative sites. Presumibly some where in the application the company have selected this site for is brownfield location, where the minerals are, transport links, distance from homes etc etc. Planning is not about superstition , it's about ticking every box and mitigation for every issue. I will just go and put my lucky socks on just in case

APC was heavily investing in greener tech. It got its fingers burned. I got my fingers burnt too. People like LED lighting as the customers can see the product. The water saving, fuel saving stuff is harder to sell. The underlying components bussiness is sound, Internet of things... I'm yet to be convinced. If you think you are going to get rich from greener tech... I doubt it..

The bond holders are not shafting igas or the share holders. There was a bond, a contract. I gas have over stretched itself. Projects have taken longer. The bond holders get a small steady coupon. They have a priority call on the assets if a company struggles to pay its commitments. Some of those projects must be sold to keep the best projects going. Simples. You can sell cheap, you can buy cheap. It's your choice

I'm not as gracious as MR who invested in projects that have not yet materialized into turnover & lost me 80% of my significant investment. Investing in 5 sites to win 1000 is a 0.2% investment. It would be far lower investment than some of the companies MR bought and have a trillion % better return! I did post before it all went wrong how hard it was to sell water conservation compared to LED lighting. Wife, friends love my LED lighting , if I tell them if irrigated the garden from the shower, water butts etc they glaze over. Morrisons customers liked the led lighting and the sales managers. They don't give a stuff about the power, heating and water conservation. Even if it does cost in, the accountants have a hard time convincing the board to investing 10m in power savings if the same 10m could secure a new store.
