Central banks raising interest leaves a time lag on how it affects inflation so it’s not easy to avoid an overshoot into a recession particularly when there’s a lot going on around the world thats not helping. Current market is either a long term hold through to 2024 onwards for everything to hopefully calm down or try to navigate the current peaks and troughs in the market and trade them. Seems to me most people are trading and volumes seem low at the moment.

It tells me that MR. Stock Market has concerns about what’s likely happening in China so not fully pricing in the affects of China opening on commodities. Majority of economist are already starting to see a recession in US next year. CFO’s survey recently interviewed had same opinion. DOW dropping back below 30,000 is being talked about again for next year.

More so the US markets have woken up to the fact they’re going into a recession some time next year. You then have concerns on company earnings in 2023 to come. China can’t be trusted to release data that other countries can work with to let them in whilst covid situation rolls on there. Much the same coming in Q1 and Q2 next year. Chinese opening up is a double edged sword as it affects commodity prices which affects inflation meaning central banks have more work to do on interest rates next year. Pros and cons of China opening up hence US not excited about it.

Would you not say the Chinese opening isn’t great to tame commodity prices and further strain on global inflation meaning central banks chasing rates higher to get on top of it. What will stock market company earnings being a worry going into 2023 Chinese opening has negatives too so hence the current reaction over in the US I presume. There a negatives as well as positives to the news don’t you think?

Always going to be a double edged sword China reopening due to population numbers when you let covid run free. US and many other countries will add in restrictions for Chinese travellers to avoid risks on possibility of mutations or new variants popping up in their own countries. Chinese are not great at sharing data with the world at large and very frugal with truth when it suits them. Going on recent news reports in past few days the Chinese are already finding it hard to avoid the issues their health care systems are currently facing and rising from news agencies from abroad.

Anyone who promotes his posts will be filtered too as it easier to see those posts that provide information about Rolls Royce or the markets. I am reading this right? Some sado is supposedly on holiday with his wife and family in Bermuda and taking the time to keep posting on a forum to promote a share. Have to feel sorry for his wife and family if that’s was actually true but if it smells like it and looks like it then it probably is bullsh***. See you when the SP is back in the 80’s

Uk fourth quarter figures will likely confirm we’re officially in a recession based a third quarter figures released today. Long way to go into 2023 before markets recover some ground. You’ll get plenty of other opportunities to trade in this market in 2023. Banks do tend to recover quicker coming out of a recession.

Depends on your trading turn over gains against loses and how good you trade. I think you’ll likely get another shot at RR as it’s been over two weeks since China opened up and if news reports are correct they’re expecting half of Shanghai population (25m) to have covid by end of next week. A lot depends on how well Chinese can hide what is actually go on over there as they don’t face same scrutiny as us in the west. If covid takes off in China it won’t be a small drop on the markets. Tread carefully as it not done yet

Won’t know Chinese problems until it spirals out of control as they don’t release much data and even what is released doesn’t ring true. Market volumes are low so price movements get exaggerated until the next bit of bad news. Will post again if I see a decent price position in RR and put money in. Be lucky.

I made over £1000 in the same time period before selling at just over 92p. If I can pull that kind of profit once a week I’m a happy boy. To each their own

Banking a £500 profit in a few days isn’t bad. A paper profit can change quickly into a loss BUT not once it’s in your account. RR will switch back down once the valuation becomes stretched. Only a matter of time before the market sells it off as current volumes remain on the low side. Negatives out weigh the positives on the UK stock market at present hence the short positions taken against the FTSE100 and European markets for similar reasons. Enjoy the £500 on your account

Meant weakness

Uk economic news was worse than expected this morning. Risks in UK economy far out weigh positives. China covid will remain unclear know it’s opened up as they’ll hold back the data. Russia and US still at odds over Ukraine yesterday sealed the deal for me to sell today. Low volumes also mean wider price movements so I remain to be proven wrong that certain shares can break free of their ranges. Will be watching for those that pullback or show weekends like yourself

Sold mine today over 92p and will come back in after the pullback. Smaller volumes mean wider price fluctuations so all is sometimes not what it seems. Will post if or when I buy back in

Quadruple witching day today and last one of year. Very volatile today. Bargain prices towards the end of session on past experience.
